Dunno, since your model wasnt meant for that: on the polycount side.

Maybe we could use the toon shader and see how it looks but it wouldnt have the outline obviously.

I've never made LODs for my own models (except some map objects)...call me lazy anyways, i would be the one making the LODs because i have the model already rigged so i can re-use what i have as a starting point.

That would be cool... but perhaps we only need like one lod (say 50%). That way you don't need to go mad making 3 lods.
I think it s supposed to be:
Prime: 3000
Lod 1: 2000
Lod 2: 1000
Lod 3: 500

Yeah, i think a LOD at 50-60% of the original should be enough. Will try to work on it this week.

This is one model I'm looking forward to.

It's a shame this cartoon does not play around here (or I'm never home to watch it on time). The cartoonish proportions are just plain awesome.

I was surprised to see the episodes were only 3 mins long... but them I found out these things are daily... I guess once all 20 are out you can use an AV editing program to join the episodes up one after another and create an hour long movie.

The cartoon is quite kickass. Better than the poor excuses of prequels at least. I want to make so many models now.. . so.. many... cool... characters... so... many... argh...

spoiler:
Whats with Lucas and killing off cool villains like Durge after one standoff? I mean come on, let the anticipation build up a little jeez.

I saw that Durge doesn't speak much in the toon... its going to be tough to make fitting taunts and sounds for this big fella.

More than likely these as well as the commentary are going on DVD for me. But I'll wait to see if they release their boatloads of cut material. Before I crack open my tmpgenc.

ksk h20, I dont think that was really a spolier. And I really dont think Durge died in Season 1. If you note on the last episode where Obi and Durge fought in the control room, you can see him moving after Obi exploded him.

that sounds like boba-fett-escaping-sarlac'like wishful thinking to me. =P

Yea maybe it's not a spoiler... but still I had not seen them yesterday and I would rather not learn who gets what coming at him within the first few episodes.

Check the commentary on Durge. Apparently he was supposed to regen in the comics. They upped the regen time for the cartoon though. So hopefully we may see him again. I mean its chapter 15 and Obi is still in the same spot.

There isn't a Season 3, the last episode ends with an double-length episode starring General Grievous.

I feel ripped-off now that everyone can get the episodes for free that I can get with my paid Hyperspace subscription. At least I can get all of the Episode III webdocs, and all of the pictures.

He He! I know that! I was just being optimistic... it's a LOOOOOONG wait for Episode 3.

You PAID for hyperspace!
Hope it's been worth it.

Forgive me, but I think STREAMING MEDIA should be outlawed!!!

Well, you don't have to stream it, you can download it, that's where those links on tha page come in...They are the Hyperspace clone wars video, that's why it's cheap, someone with Hyperspace goes on there, finds the link and then puts the link up on the internet so that peope who haven't paid for it can get it for free.

actually, those ones are taken from the clone wars site, you can get vids off cartoon network, also correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't hyperspace give 720 x 640? (i think that's the correct res)

Wink Sneak Peek

Here's an EARLY sneak peek at Assaj Ventress (Toon Version - Since I was at work and didn't have any refs for working on a reg version). It's much the same as the toy version, but I gave her b00bs and a butt Am currently considering slits up the sides of her outfit to sex it up a TINY bit (Make it a wee bit more adult than toon) - simply cause it's really hard to tell where her skin ends and costume starts anyway.

Still a lot of work to do on it! Have to finish Durge first!

Well, the hyperspace version of the Clone Wars is 480 x 320. Those progressivestream1.aol.com links are the actual Hyperspace links, it's not on Cartoon Network or Star Wars.com

Asajj Ventress is a weird character to make, probably because she doesn't look as complex as the others like Durge, but it looks like it will turn out great.

When in doubt, Google.

Anyway, we should let him finish Durge first, then badger him in a Asajj thread.

I've finished the team skins and done a toon skin that has black outlines along all the edges. It's OK but not as good as a proper cell-shader.
Psyk0Sith has finished the LOD and as soon as I get a chance to do the npc file and get the skins from work (where I left them) this should be about ready to go!

A cell shaded version could be made using the LOD. Just send me the skins so i can include them in the .shader.

Nice Assaj by the way .

I believe he said earlier in the thread that he will not do a real version of Durge because it doesnt look good. So we will have to wait for someone else to do it.

I have an idea of which model to use for a comic rendition of Asajj, but it has to be completed first.
