Stingbird VTOL WIP

I didn't make this for anything in particular. It's a vehicle from Timothy Zahn's Conquerors Trilogy. I might put it into Far Cry or something, once the game and tools are released. It's still very much a work in progress--as you can see, I haven't attached the rotors to the fuselage yet. The main thing I'm looking for right now is ideas on the placement of the rotors. I'm not sure what will look balanced and streamlined at the same time. Also, I may do some reworking of the fuselage itself later on, so comments on that would be good.

Very nice. Would this be a fighter or a carriership for troops?

Oh one more thing....what are you gonna do with the cockpit

Oh, I missed that. It's a close air support VTOL aircraft. It holds either 1 person or 2, the book wasn't exactly clear on that.

As I said before, this isn't for a specific game. If it's imported, the pilot will enter the cockpit ingame. It's not necessary to model a pilot unless I'm importing it to JA, which I'm not.

LOL, you need to make it for JA, ppl will like it. It would give them a new taste for JA vehicles. Bring them around from all the regular SW vehicles being made at the moment.

mmh, so why you put the showcase in jediknight series if it is not for any jedi knight? Or you are just looking for someone to put n JA, like the bird model; and as i said if you send me that bird i'd try to convert it to JA.

Hmmm, may I suggest moving the rotors forward a little so they line up flush with the body? The tail section ain't that heavy, so balance should be okay there.

Also you could look into the Apache attack helicopter and their cockpit set-up.

This thing is really cool looking, reminds me of a cross between the HK from Terminator and Starscream from Transformers

Well if you dont know how to make it into a vehicle, im sure tie fighter pilot would love to get his hands on this. You should PM him and ask him if you cant. This would be a good vehicle in JA.

Yeah...

Not directly looking at it, but in shots 3 & 4, those angles make it. Pretty cool, though.
