Are Capes Cool ?
Hello. I feel like gauging the fashion idioms of the fellow swampers...
We have noticed that throughout history, folklore, stories and movies, mysterious and cool characters often get to wear a cape/robe/cloak......
I am disappointed sometimes that current(Western) fashion trends do not allow for us to wear such apparel.....
please vote !

It really depends on the person.
Vincent Valentine has a cape, and it looks good.
Sephiroth had a psuedo-cape, and it looks good.
But if Cloud threw on a cape, he'd look retarted.
If the Flash wore a cape, he'd look dumber than he already does.
If I wore a cape, I'd look like a goober.

If you even think that wearing a cape these days is even halfway stylish...you need to re-think, not only about that, but about your sense of style in general.

If its windy, there is a possibility of wearing a cape. Thats cape weather. Now, if it's not windy, thats a whole different situation...

Capes are awsome, when their on the right person, like Kain said.
Sure, I would love to wear a cape around work or school... if I went to work or school...
But if you threw a cape on Mr. G here (I call Game & Watch Mr. G in a non-punkish point of view) it just wouldn't look right.
Moral of the story is: Good guys can't wear capes.
(not that i'm a bad guy >_>)

Capes and cloaks are excellent.
You know what also needs to come back in style? Derby hats. Those things are awesome, and should become standard headware.
I'm wearing that hat to prom

Those pics are several months old, and since then, I've lost 45 lbs.
Thank you very much. I'm now 6'2" and 235 lbs. I've been working out a lot lately, and my muscles are huge.

I will not!
*claps* You're getting closer to being Superman. Just need to shave and get glasses. And dye your hair. And say really cheesy lines. And find a good Lois Lane. And get yourself a personal action figure. And really cheesy cartoons with the likeness of yourself on the superman.
Good on ya Obi. Way to get into shape,

When I get home people'll ask me, "Hey Hoot, why do ya do it man? Why? Just some war junkie?" Ya know what I'll say? I won't say a goddamn word. Why? They won't understand. They won't understand why we do it. They won't understand that it's about the men next to you, and that's it. That's all it is.

I am big-boned. Seriously, I can feel my uh...whats that one near your...area....the pelvis or something....I haven't been able to feel that for years. Now it's sort of almost poking out. Weird sounding, I know, but still, that sucker is huge. Sort of odd for me to say. In fact, ignore that entire paragraph.
And actually Mike, I've been keeping myself shaved ( ), but my parents won't let me do the dye thing. They say I'm getting "too much into this." Just because I'm trying to look like Tom Welling form Smallville doesn't mean a thing. I only have this to say to my parents and those like them-
Since I have started my "Clark Kent" look, I've gotten two dates, and two prom dates. One of them is from a town 45 minutes away. The girl was absolutely ape-nuts for me.
So ma and pa, you think my appearance is making me mentally un-healthy? I laugh at you.

I voted Wu-Wear just for the fact that I like their music, and some of the clothes are ok. I dont have any of it, since no one here sells it .
Oh well, back to the topic. I dont mind Capes, they're cool and all, I just dont see myself wearing one.

That first paragraph really doesn't sound right... but we'll let it pass. I mean, something sticking out from your pelvis area? Grew recently? Are you on puberty?
I kid I kid. *dodges paper laser vision eyes and ice cubes representing freeze breath*
There is some temporary hair color. You could just dye it and wash it out every night.
Superman was cool for a while, they made him lame in cartoons.
1 word of advice. Don't wear a red cape with your tux to the prom.

Obi, have you ever made your own Superman costume with attached cape? You know, those lil conventions? Or maybe you were that guy walking around the street in suspiciously red colored shirts and blue jeans...
WAS THAT A CAPE I SAW UNDER YOUR JACKET?!

Well, I guess this is where i can ask for some help...I have to do a skit here in a few weeks and need some opinions on what my costume should be. It has to be a super hero type of thing. No offense to anyone (obi) but capes aren't really my thing..so any help would be...uh...helpful.
This is just my opinion....
