How does one switch Gun models?

I was playing around with them figured out which ones did what and then tried making my own. Nothing showed up. Are there certain tags i need to know or a certian orientation to the model?

there are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who dont.

You can't make completely new guns, they have to change the ones already in the game, use the gun from Halo from PCgamemods.com for an example. You just make a new model and name it the same as the one of the ones already in the game.
