last I read mirrors were kinda dangerous business in JA... especially for performance...

Yes, but only, when you use a lot of mirrors, or use a big mirror If you use one for a hangar, its not too bad for the perofrmance

If you're not bothered by it being totally reflective, you can just use the env_obsidian (?) textures in the textures/common folder. Looks like env_glass, but is black instead of see-through
