It was kind of a joke gift. I'd already read the book and told my friend how I didn't like it all that much, so naturally she gets it for me.

Make sure you watch the mini series of BG first, just in case you are new to it (which I very much doubt, but just in case).

The North American release of Season One comes with the miniseries, so no worries there. And I'm definitely not new to BSG, but it's so good to have it on DVD and the ability to watch it whenever I like now.

Sexy stats, Sam. A few queries, though... Why'd you go with AMD? The Intel line of quads is by and large still superior to anything AMD puts out and at pretty much the same price. And you got 4 GBs of RAM, but not an OS that can recognize all of it, why?

I like AMD and to be honest I'm not too worried about a few FPS' difference. With the cooler I'm probably going to be able to OC to ~3 Ghz, that'd be nice too. I thought about getting Vista 64, but I've tried Vista and I dislike it. RAM shouldn't be a problem anytime soon, anyway...

Uhhggg...
Oh, and before I forget, two games I've bought over Steam recently:

$10 - Really fun, even got the sequel from Goozex for $1 and 100 points, which is $5 in fake money.

$40 - Got a small discount, which fit perfectly for the sales tax... because of the stupid delay I paid for it in full and tried to then obtain it in a morally questionable way, sadly I screwed up with that and will have to still f*ckin wait. AAAARRRHHGGG!

I actually have two very cheap 1GB sticks of RAM with a 8800GT and a 6400+ AMD AM2 socket CPU inside of a refurbished Compaq tower that I bought over a year ago for under $400 - just replaced the RAM and CPU, and added a nice video card. Also, you should ask IG-64 about that kind of stuff with the editing and animation and shizzle... and don't dis Honest Bob, Bongo and I will both stomp your ass out. >:V

I love Honest Bob and the Factory to Dealer Incentives!
I Will Deny anyone who disses Honest Bob.
and @Pho3nix: honestly, for me it's not that there's anything wrong with Vista per se, it's just that I find xp still perfectly usable. I don't have a DX10 graphics card (Radeon 7900GS) so there isn't really a reason for me to switch, in my opinion.

No doubt, yeah, XP is the safe route when it comes to gaming, but I don't have issues with games at all on Vista, meh... But I've never heard of this so called "Radeon 7900GS" you're talking about, neither has NewEgg. :P
Now for stuff I got today:

I made my brother pay for it himself, so far my computer hasn't melted or turned into a EA spy machine, so I guess it's okay for now.
I also made a special purchase today:

I was really looking for their album "Total Universe Man"
- but this was good enough. Went to the local specialty record store and found this for $13.99.
Edit: I just went ahead and ordered "Total Universe Man" off eBay for $11.06 shipped, can't wait! :V
I also got the RockBand 2 pre-order box thing at BestBuy today, $5 down and a free XL T-Shirt, which is great cause I'm an XL kinda guy. But it's uber wrinkled and smells funny... must wash about 20 times first... Oh, and I registered and paid for my college classes starting in two weeks... yay...

Yeah, same here. I have Vista on my laptop and XP on my PC.

Actualy niner, thanks for asking me about why I got 32bit XP - I cancelled my order for that and instead am going to use XP Pro x64 (Yes, I checked for x64 drivers first). Not sure how I forgot about XP64!
