*Orthos busts his way into the tent*

Elella: Orthos...she's talking in two ways...two personalities fighting.

*Orthos remembers the grim days when the evil Darkstar personality he inherited from his tried to take over him. He kneels down and and takes Tanara's hand*

Orthos: Tanara...who do you want to be? You? Or IT? Make a descision. Because that descision will decide who wins here. Trust me.

I know

((Admiral: Well, all I ever get from Asier is thinly veiled disgust ))

Hal: As you say, settled. We'll be married at sunset. Can I talk to Drago now? *Flinches.*

Allessa: Yes. You had better turn up this time, Halren Flax!

*She storms inside. A few moments later Drago comes out, masaging his temples. He looks rumpled.*

Hal: You okay, old man?

Drago: Fine Lad, I've just been sleeping in the Corridor with Rackin and Telros for the last 4 days, thats all.

*The two men grasp forarms and imbrace.*

Hal: She told me you brought it.

Drago: Yes, I expect that shiny suit is starting to chafe.

Hal: Give me steel and leather any day.

*The two head off to find the crate.*

*When the two reapear Hal is whearing the armour with the same dull gleam as Drago's and the gaurds. The gauntlets are each engraved with a single wolf and lion. He wears a new sword, slightly shorter and carries a teardrop shaped shield with the wolf painted on it in black. His tabard is a dark blue. He wears a second sword, a spatha, on his right hip, both swords are worn on baldrics. His heavy cloak has a mantle of wolf's pelt. He also carries a retracted vibrolance.*

((Admiral, will this feast take place before or after sunset?))

Tanara's eyes opened slowly, but she made no effort to respond to anybody. She stared straight up at the ceiling, barely breathing. Finally, she began to act as though she understood what was going on and rolled her head to one side to look at Orthos.

"I am not seperate from Tanara," the menacing voice answered. "I am as much a part of her as your hand is of you!"

"It is not true," Tanara whispered, her eyes closing again. "I don't understand... it's very strong... what is it?"

With a sudden, unexpected burst of energy, Tanara sprang up off the ground and slipped out of the tent, stopping just outside.

"Until this thing is defeated somehow, I can be of no service to any of you," Tanara said. The other voice laughed.

"She doesn't realize how mistaken she is!" it said. "I am the power she thinks she has. If I leave, she will die."

"I refuse to believe!" Tanara screamed. "I lived with the Jedi for years. It was only after they were destroyed that I felt your presence."

"It was then I first spoke to you," the other agreed. "I have been with you all along, but you did not feel me for I did not want you to. Do you understand now?"

"Never," Tanara hissed. She turned again to Orthos. "You said that you know of this sort of thing."

"He's had personal experience," the other growled, using Tanara's eyes to glare angrily at Orthos. "He made the wrong choice... you must not make the same mistake."

"Help me ignore it," Tanara begged. "I want to hear what you have to say."

*Orthos fills with anger at the words "wrong choice"*

Orthos: I think not. I made my choice, and even though I still have that demon within me, I fight it. Who do you want to be? The demon, or yourself. The way to win is to renounce it completely!

So, that's what you think? After all I offered you? After all the strength I gave you?

I never wanted you. I never wanted any of this avatar crap.

Fine. I've got someone waiting for me. I hope you show up to meet us at the battlefield. Bye Orthos. See you in hell.

*Orthos feels a strange sensation as the Darkstar avatar leaves him forever*

Vader's wife was very pregnant when she died 19 years ago. All of a sudden a 19 year old who is very strong in the force and has a distinct resembalance to him in his younger days rolls in from Vader's home planet with his old Master Obi-Wan (Who was the ONLY other person preset at the time his wife died. Matt: Tanara, You're a jedi. That fact alone, makes you an asset to us. You can fight this thing.

*Valda listens to what Tanara says carefully before responding.*

Valda: As a Jedi you have a sworn duty to fight the darkside, regardless if it resides in you or is somewhere else. If this helps, failing to defeat this alternate personality will result in you being left behind on this planet and dying.

((Sorry...))

Tanara's eyes closed slowly and she nodded. She took a deep breath, then opened her eyes. There was a look of great peace in her eyes.

"Thank you," she said. "Before today, I thought this... thing was stronger than me. Now I see that I am the stronger of us. I will not forget this."

She turned and went back inside the tent.

((Deac: As far as I know everyone is outside. So Orthos would see Raschel, and for simplicity sake the Aesir Orthos went up to is Valda.

JM: Discussion thread please.))

Valda: Lord Heimdall is currently very busy, you will be able to talk to him at the feast tonight.
------------------------------------

((In the interest of giving everyone something to do, I'm doing a time skip to the feast. I also would like to get the battle going before Scar has to leave (it's a second reason for this skip). Remember at the feast all questions will be answered about the coming battle...

BD: Just so you know sleeping arrangements won't change even after the marriage))

*An hour before sunset Idona and Valda returned to the group, they both wore caps and their armor had an almost mirror like shine to it, their hair was loose with Idona being shoulder length while Valda went down to about the middle of her back.

The two Valkyries take the group through the tents dropping off Hal (and those who were going to witness the wedding), and finally coming to the feasting area which took about fifteen minutes. Valda stayed with Hal and his witnesses so that she could lead them to the feast when this was over.

The Feasting area was to say the least enormous, there were 278,822 long rectangular wooden tables each roughly sitting twenty Aesir. Each table was linned with a large quantity of food and numerous pitchers full of mead. In the center of this area was a large bonfire. The fire danced into the air and could be seen for miles around. Celtic music filled the air shortly after the group arrived. Idona took them through the tables finally coming to the head two tables. These tables were lined with cloth embelished with Odin's crest. There were Aesir already there waiting for the group.

Vidar sat in the middle of the table on his left sat Tyr then Svafa, Hirst, Idun, Freya, Forseti, and Viddall (Tyr has one hand if anyone is curious). On Vidar right sat Heimdall then Idona when she took her place, then came Sigrun, Gunn, a spot for Valda and next to her a place for Gerd, and then Ragnar. On the other side there were enough spaces for the res of the group (accomidations for Guy if needed Red, and room for Drago Allessa and their two guards).

Behind this table was another table with two chairs that no one sat in. To the right of this table were the three Drakes who save Drago and his party. Included in the three was the one who escorted the group to their pickup point. On the Right was a stage where droids were playing the enchanting music.*

Idona *before taking her seat*: Please sit down and help yourself. Drink only from the pitchers with red handles for those wanting to mead safe for you. If you don't want mead (Mead is beer) then you can have water, those are in the white handled pitchers.

*Once the group was seated and between sips of his tankard Vidar addressed the group*

Vidar: My brother said that you may have questions about this coming battle. If you do now would be the time to ask them.

Heimdall: Yes we know that he is here. Hel brought him, probably at Loki's request because they know you are here. Overall his presence in this battle is of little importance considering the size of the enemy army.

Matt: I apologize for pulling you aside, but I've decided to come clean on my secret, mostly because I need some information.
*He took a deep breath. Ok, time to spill it out*
Matt: I'm not from Enoy. I'm from Car'nessa. My father is Lord Briscoe, which is why I've never told any of you my last name. Three years ago he was supposed to be made into a high lord. The current one got nervous and sent assasins to attack our House. We didn't know this until a year ago, right before the Holocaust. They planted a bomb on one of our shuttles and killed four of my brothers, so now we were only three. As attempts began to grow more and more frequent, we were forced to flee. We still held power remotely, and for two years we hid and tracked the assasins to their root. Finally we found the high lord who sent them and had him arrested. We were supposed to be returning to Car'nessa but taking no chances we went on three seperate transports. My mother with my oldest brother, my father with my second oldest and me on another transport alone with a bodyguard. My transport was damaged and we came out of hyperspace near Enoy, where you found me. There we found out about the holocaust and that the damage had been caused by it. When we landed to conduct repairs some hysterical colonists took control of the ship, kicked us out and left the planet with all our belongings. I believe the ship did not last long without repairs. So my bodyguard and I went to working in the mines, until one day he was killed in a cave-in. You guys found me a few months later and I came with you, mostly to get off that planet. I recognized you, but decided not to tell you to keep from distracting you, and to keep you from discovering I behaved in a manner completely opposite to what I'd behave like back home. Well, partly that and I have also gotten used to behaving less formally after months on Enoy. But now I need to ask you, Drago, if you know if any of my family also survived? Also, what are you doing here?

Orthos: The Lokpihet you're referring to was my brother. This is the evil being he was named after. I know you have little experience dealing with these type of beings, Heimdall, but don't take them lightly.

Gortick: Here? It's here? The thing that corrupted our father? The thing that meant mother had to hide me here?

Orthos: Yes. Yes, Lokpihet is here. And I'm going to face him.

Hal: Well I'm glad you decided to come clean, Matt Briscoe. I remember my father saying that Earl Aressel was looking for a High Lord Telaban, and that it was looking like he was marshalling Legions. Which was of course illigeal.

One thing I don't understand, why did you never learn to use a sword properly.

((OSS: Remember what I said about this.))

Drago: I recognize him now, you remember the Archers contest, four years ago, it was on Relinion.

Hal: Yes, I know it was on Relinion.

Drago: Yes, well anyway, this young man hit three bullseyes from 200 paces at full gallop. He's probably never needed to use a sword.

Hal: Your that Matt Briscoe.

Matt: I learned to use knives instead, taking in mind our planet's enviroment (Water) and after the assasination of my brothers it was deemed more useful.

((No one else with questions? If there is no one else then I will be wrapping this up and getting to the actual battle))

Vidar: Lokpihet is bound by the laws of this battle like everyone else who is going to participate, and regardless of what you say we will never be concerned about Lokpihet. For that matter we are not worried about Fenrir, Jormungand, Surt, Loki, Hel, or any of the other powerful enemies that we are going to be facing.

*Idun after swallowing some meat looked at Orthos and the group*

Idun: We are not concerned because our opponents are weak but because there is little use in worring about it. In a handful of days we will be facing an army roughly thirty-six thousand times bigger then ours. There is no hope of winning, if anyone can survive until dusk it will be a miracle. Take a look around you for a second.

*If one turned around and saw the celebration that the Aesir were commencing one would think they had just won a large victory instead of marching about to march to their deaths. Tankards were raised in toasts, a few danced to the music, many sat with friends and joked.*

Idun: Each one of them knows that they are probably going to die in this battle, but non of them are worried or upset over it. Instead they are enjoying the time they have left and being with their friends.

Svafa: Since we are talking about the battle, I remember some of you asking about using ranged attacks generated by the Force or some other power source. Simple answer to that is no ranged attacks are allowed regarless of how that attack is generated, so no lightning bolts, no sending balls of fire at the enemy etc. This paticular rule will limit what some of you can do at the battle. Those who find that they have little to offer but their presence should not to fight *looks briefly at Aidan* at all.

Actually all of you should not participate in the battle, but I know some of you are going to be stubborn and want to fight anyways. However, before you dismiss what I say think about this. The battle cannot be won, this will purely be about surviving until dusk. You have the option of sitting it out and automatically surviving, that would be the wise choice. Also keep in mind that you were not brought to this planet to fight, you were brought here because the quest for the Time Matrix led us here. Fullfilling the quest and saving the galaxy is your primary duty. I will also add that your presence on the battlefield will due more harm then good.

Idun: Listen to Svafa, if we were not duty bound to fight Heimdall, Svafa, Gerd, and I would not be fighting regardless of how much we would hate to watch others fight and die while we sat on the sidelines. However, we do not have that choice, but you do...

Matt: Well then I guess I'll be skipping the battle. Won't be much good to you anyway, I think it'd be better if I just train on the ship.

And to boot, the kid's last name is Skywalker.

So in answer to your question, he knew Luke was his son because his name is Darth Vader, and not Darth Retard.

Freya: Yes, 183 billion versus our army of 5,576,428. It will be a fun day.

*Freya takes a sip of mead and looks at Matt*

Wise choice young one.

((Due to time skip I'm nuking the whole wedding, they got married, they came to the feast. You'll all get to see an Agamarian Wedding later in another thread anyway.))

Hal: How will we fight them?

Drago: No archers, no cavalry, I'd find a gorge or a ridge line and form a shield wall. Any battle that big will have lulls and you can use the time to rotate your ranks. If you keep your soldiers fresh you could fight like that until dusk.

Elella: I don't know....

Orthos: You two should stay out of this. I'm only going because I have a few personal scores to settle with Lokpihet, and because...It's our fate, our battle. For aeons a great battle with good and evil has been prophesised. If this is to be the ending of this world, we must partake in it

Gortick: Sounds convincing enough.

Raschel: What is the point of this battle? You'll be fighting one hundred and eighty billion Sith that can't be killed and everyone who fights will probably die? How will we be narrowing the odds hitting undead creatures with sticks and lightsabers for a day hoping to not die? Orthos, this isn't a great, climactic, glorious last battle, it's an empty symbol, a farce. Don't go. There's no point.

Aidan: Then you aren't going to fight?

Raschel: No. There's nothing I can do in this battle. I am trained as a pilot and as an intelligence agent. I couldn't kill one Sith out of an X-Wing, let alone 180 billion. And if I can't even use a blaster...

Cracern "183billion. Interesting. Were there really that meny that had ever exsisted? Now only to find someone to resurrect 183billion Jedi, we'd be in business."

Sir-vin *to Cracern*"So I take it that you're backing down then?"

Cracern "I'm sure I can make it through fine. Been through hell already. What the heck."

Sir-Vin "I'll just take that as an understatement considering the numbers..."

Tanara heard a whisper in the back of her mind. You know you want to fight, it said. She smiled and shook her head.

"I'll stay out of this one," she said. "It'll be better that way."

You lost your control of me, she mentally told whatever had attempted to control her. You can never regain your power. I know you are weaker and can only be given control. I do not give you control.

The only response was a small wail only Tanara could hear. She smiled again, knowing she had won. The object would always try, but now she knew she could always win.

Drago: The numbers are what, thirty three throusnad to one, those odds are not so long.

There are no missile troops or cavalry so we do not have to worry about being outflanked or wittled down from a distance.

All we have to do is find a valley, the walls will protect our flanks and then their greater numbers will count for naught, if, as I said, we rotate our ranks when they regroup.
