WIP Kotor II Repulblic Soldier (Released!)
I saw the new screens of sith lords the other day and it had republic troopers in blue and silver armor and I thought to myself: "man, that is so much cooler looking than red, yellow, and black, I hope someone does a reskin of the existing republic armor to match it." Then I decided to try my hand at it. Keep in mind this is my first serious skinning attempt for any game, but so far i rather like it.
here's the screens from sith lords that inspired me:
Soldier on patrol
Male, Female, and Officer
and here's my efforts so far:
Trask front view
Trask back view
this is just a simple reskin so far but i'll be adding the thing on the chest plate and the symbol on the shoulder plate as soon as i can figure out what they are (if anyone can find any more ref pics they would be much appreciated.)
I'll release it once i get the officer and female versons done (and the helmet for the male soldier, haven't gotten to it yet)

Nice work. I wish I could tell you what those symbols are, but their pics don't seem to show it very well.

Thanks guys.
first update, i got the helmet done and I figured out what the thing is on the chestplate, it actually appears on the shoulder pad of the original officer, so all i have to do is copy and paste and recolor. I'm going to mess with the color more, its a bit too purple for my tastes.

on looking at the pics closer the thing on the shoulder pads may be the same as what i just put on the chest but i really can't tell. what do you guys think?

i say it freakin rocks! lacks some of the detail of the true blue (pun intended) uniform but that's only to be expected...i think i would definitely use this for my soldiers...not for trask tho, i like my skin for him enuf already

Nice reskin much better than anything I have ever done...
But I'm not so sure those will be the normal republic soldier clothes from TSL they appear to be more of some kind of guards judging by the surrounding, but what do I know?
Still I like that, a lot.

I have some new screens of the recolor of the female skin (no extras so far)

I'm not at a point in the game where I can find a female republic soldier so I had to use the republic soldier clothes mod (thanks Amezaroth, and I wonder if those will be the normal soldier uniforms too, but at this I don't care since the colors are so much better than the KOTOR ones)

Now somebody needs to make it into an armor...

I appreciate your gracious offer! Unfortunately, the armor I am making uses a different model and therefore a different skin.
I finished the "traditional uniform scheme" this morning and intended to post some screenies before I left for work but they turned out too dark and I ran out of time. My intention is to make a second skin using the same updated scheme that you've provided.
When completed there will be a new class 8 armor with custom stats and upgrades |

oh yeah, if anyone is interested i also retextured the endar spire interior to my new color scheme, as well as the screens with republic logos on them and the banners you see on manaan. it looks kinda cool and it matches my new uniforms.
