Cool Guy Banzai rabbit wagon

Fealiks: I drive a Mitsubishi, but not just any Mitsubishi! I took an old World War II Japanese zero, chopped the wings and wired up tail lights...and there you are. Get the hell out of my way--the guns still work.

Yeah, but can you back that up, because otherwise, your post before was just unadulterated spam.

And we don't look to kindly on that around here (Das, I'm not too happy about you either)

spam

"1. <messaging> To post irrelevant or inappropriate messages to
one or more Usenet newsgroups, mailing lists, or other
messaging system in deliberate or accidental violation of
netiquette.

It is possible to spam a newsgroup with one well- (or ill-)
planned message, e.g. asking "What do you think of abortion?"
on soc.women. This can be done by cross-posting, e.g. any
message which is crossposted to alt.rush-limbaugh and
alt.politics.homosexuality will almost inevitably spam both
groups. (Compare troll and flame bait)."

Of course on such internet forums as these, it's usually used to up the precious post count and is not looked on kindly around here.

Basically, this thread asked what everyone's avatar is about, and you just decided to say whatever was on your mind and may be loosely connected to the topic, i.e, "avatars suck", which doesn't answer any questionor contribute much to the conversation as a whole. If you were to give maybe a reason as to why avatars suck, we may be able to make a conversation out of it, but because you only said 3 words, it can be considered spam. Therefore, please don't do it again.

my av is from the tv-show the mole, and red and green are now my two colors that i like to use most b/c of my av...which is why there's green and red in my sigpic, too.

I mean seriously, there is only so much you can do with 70 x 70 pixels. Other forums that have less restrictions, you can do some really neat things with avatars.

This is my default avatar, which I always switch back too:

Darth Groovy, the Dapper Zabrak. Usually at some point, I actually get a pm asking me to switch it back for some reason.

Change is good, but seasons suck, my avatars are USUALLY seasonal, but being a retail manager, I am loathing the holidays more and more each year.
Right now i'm just all immersed in the madness that is Halo 2, so my current avatar is Master Chief who is one of the main characters in the game.

I've had the same damn avatar for years, I'd change, but I like this one so much. And it's actually quite amazing what you can do with 70x70 pixels, I actually created this one on a 70x70 canvas (as apose to a larger canvas, then scaled down) and came out with that, which I quite like.

What, you mean you put the camera up to the screen?!

Anyway, I think LFC is too restricted. 70 x 70, 2000 bytes, it's too damn small. I've made some really cool avi's before, but they have like, a million bloody bytes over. It's cos I use Fireworks MX. meh.

Yeah, and you should be able to have background images that are at least 1024x768. And you should be able have flash movies and lots of space where to put text and tell the world how you feel. There should be smilies, too. No, I mean emoticons for like every possible emotion you could possibly have. And...

All that is actually possible. It's called webspace. You get it (best ad-free) and post a link in your sig.

You can do amazing things with only 32x32 pixels and 16 (predefined) colors. That's what the original Windows icons had.

I've had the same one since I hit post 10 and a new slew of avatars became available for the choosing (they still use that system?) Anyway, I also use it over on adventuregamers and did briefly on Idle Thumbs till I got cuaght up in the everybody use a Double Fine Action Comic avatar craze.

*extra little slightly off-topic note about this topic*

i love how when you open this page, page 2, the first thing you see is "MY ANUS IS BLEEDING."
quite strange...and/or erotic.

*looks around nervously*

uh...hehe. *runs away, not hitting a wall*
