direct3d hardware issues

when direct3d hardware is enabled manny and the main characters are either invisable or flicker when moving i have a s3 prosavage ddr on xp any help?

Sound for me like an drver problem. I dont know the S3 prosavage, but last time I heard about the S3 it has some problems with GTA2

So you see, its hard to tell for me whats wrong. Do you use a xp default driver ?

i think so i got xp pro with sevice pack 1 i think andit runs fine in software

Dont you got any driver for your card? Because this could be the issue. Software isnt that bad, well but direct 3d is a bit ( really just a bit) better.

..So I searched a bit and found a xp driver, but can it be that your pro savaged card is an onboard laptop "card" ?
