BEST STRATEGY
5. Gangsters 2

3. Dungeon Keeper 2
2. Warcraft III
1. Black and White

BEST THIRD PERSON SHOOTER
4. MDK Series
3. Conker's Bad Fur Day
2. Fur Fighters
1. GTA: San Andreas
Is GTA: SA good?
I used to play Gangsters 2 a lot, I'm a big fan of strategy games, but I couldn't pass level 18 or 19, so I stopped playing it. But a great strategy game is Capitalism 2.

PS: Crash Bandicoot gave me some great time, I loved the three which were released for PS1.

calm down there skip.

some of us have actual lives you know, and don't spend every waking hour sat in front of a computer.

well, not me obviously, but i'm sure that there must be someone ...

You mean the way the sea stays steady as a rock and the buildings keep washing up and down? Yes I thought that was odd.

cs source is top, i'm waiting for the full sdk to be released though so I can get mapping. i've been messing about with hammer 4 but the full sdk should be along shorty. the single player mods that are gonna come out of all this are gonna be to die for!

I've made a few maps for Counter-Strike Source, but I agree, I can't wait for the full SDK and all the mods that will come with it

Half-Life 2 is beyond brilliant. HL2DM is on a similar level of greatness, although it needs some more maps (being worked on though, so no problem).

The upgraded Hammer is awesome too. The fact that the water looks so pretty in the editor is enough reason for it to be respected as the king.

I've been working with and getting used to the SDK for most of the past few days (aswell as playing DM of course ), and it is really great - there is just so much that is possible with the engine.

There's a load of code for weapons, enemies etc. that weren't included in the final game too (at first glance I can see code for the Hydra), and I think the models for them are in the gcf files. I wonder if it would be possible to get these working in a mod...

And, I've been working on the Grim Fandango HL2 mod too . We're doing the maps and models at the moment

Nice bridge by the way

I want to help on the GFHL mod, but my skills with any game development aren't really good enough for use with the HL2 engine . I'd like to find some way to help, though.

If you could do the 3D modelling in any program (I'm sure there will be a converter to the Softimage program), then that would be a great help

Email me and we can sort something out
