Um...Curt Man? Why would there be a garbage compactor in a hallway leading to a docking bay?

I work in a grocery store and we have our garbage compactor in the back of the store not in the middle of a random hallway. I don't mean to be critical or anything but a garbage compactor in a hallway makes no sense.

I'm not sure but it looks like you (Mandalorian54) missed my post. It was at the end of page 1. It had Gamma squad getting to Delca squad to help them.

I thought that's what you meant. But there is no need for a garbage shuit in a hallway. Lea, Luke, Han, and Chewie were in a prison block, an acctual room area where a garbage would be neccessary. That might exist nearby in another room or something, but not in the hallway.

Sorry I haven't been around very much. I just got KOTOR 2 (( WOOT! )) and, seeing as the main thing my Commander does is give directions, and dictates commands in battle, and seeing as these seem to be ignored constantly...it does give me a feeling of uselessness.

Mabee we can think of some ideas for things to do? Perhaps a Vuana assassin will try to kill you as you make your way to the escape shuttles?

Go ahead and feel free to post whatever you want and I'll try to get involved if I can, also go ahead and post any ideas you have.

just incase you guys think i'm godmodding with my char, i shall give you an update on barabels.

this is information take straight from the books:

barabels, have themral vision, claws that they can use to climb walls, they are roughly 7 to 8 feet tall and are pretty strong.

think of them as reptilian wookies with thermal vision.

Just interjecting to point out that if a Barabel "sees" with thermal vision, that sense would've been completely blotted out by the heat from the grenade explosion, in the same way a blast of light would blind you.

what about the skill system? Have you discarded the idea?

Vader's wife was very pregnant when she died 19 years ago. All of a sudden a 19 year old who is very strong in the force and has a distinct resembalance to him in his younger days rolls in from Vader's home planet with his old Master Obi-Wan (Who was the ONLY other person preset at the time his wife died. And to boot, the kid's last name is Skywalker.

So in answer to your question, he knew Luke was his son because his name is Darth Vader, and not Darth Retard.

I have not discareded the skill system, the skills are just for special situations. Like if two people are dueling and one of them has hand to hand combat as a skill then he would win in a hand to hand fight against someone who doesn't have hand to hand as a skill.

Okay Curt-Man, as unexpected as this is your welcome to do what you want and I see no problems with the new character.

Edit:

Okay everyone post where your character is and what's going on, I'm a bit jumbled right now.

Joth'loel and everyone who's in his Company are in a shuttle about to crash on Thaldoria, who else is in the shuttle and if not where are you?

Do you mind if I join? I'd say this sounds rather interesting... even after reading only this discussion thread. If it's not too late, let me know and I'll post a character... after I think of one

Yes Wild Jedi you can join.

Okay, I guess everyone's on this ship that's going to crash.

Okay well the battle in space is going to continue for a long time, reinforcements for the Mandalorians will come and battle it out up there, also the Vuana are going to send landing parties to Thaldoria and try to invade the planet, while Mandalorian ground forces will defend the planet surface.

We'll continue this battle until the fighting settles at a stand still. I think then would be a good time to end this first story and start a second one.

One battle in space where the Vuana try and capture the space station, and a battle on the ground where the Vuana try and set up a base on Thaldorai. My plans are for the Vuana to accomplish both tasks but it's open ended for you guys to have a chance to effect the outcome.

Ap, don't wait for something interesting to happen, make something happen.

If you want to do something drastic let me know by posting your idea here, but go ahead and make stuff happen up there while we're down on the planet below.

Well, I made this character out of the Mando Army because of a plan for another part. But, to get my Char into the stroy 1 of 2 things needs to happen.

1.They "stumble" onto the battle marking new territory
2.They Recieve and unknown distress signal and answer to it(Which is what I've basically was expecting)

So, would you rather me have them stumble onto it?

Your character's a security officer on a Battleship right? Nows as good a time as any to bring in the reinforcements so I guess you can be on one of those battleships if you'dd like.

Or perhaps you could be a security officer for a battleship on Thaldoria that hasn't taken off yet? Then you could even be in the same base as the rest of us.

Either of those sound good?

From Space?

Do you mean the soldiers in our company who are now on Thaldoria?

Or the ones still in space?

Or at the space station?

Or something else?

Does that work? I tried not to make it to lengthy, So, I'll have him crash onto Mandalore. (As you can see, he's not a pilot, but had no other choice.) He's never seen anyone that looked realy human before, considering where he grew up so he's gunna be a little in awe when he meets Mandos.

the soldiers from the space battle that came down and crashed, i would figured that most of them would be in the med bay, not the lounge.

Ya most of them are in the med bay, but wounded soldiers will just get shipped back home asap. We can't really use one armed one legged soldiers anymore. Or whatever other injuries they have pretty much render them useless in combat. So they get to go back home.

Those who only had minor injuries are healed and in the lounge by now.

Ap, your post is fine, I didn't realise though that you wern't already on Mandalore, I understand now though and it's all fine.

If you don't want to continue Jedi Malastar that's fine, but if you do change your mind you can have command of the second platoon, I don't think there are any other players ranked high enough. Griff excluded since he only just joined with us.

Ok, Ap is into the picture now. I said the air was thicker because I figured eventually the atmosphere would alter from the mando pressence. So he could have "breathable" air but it's alot diffrent from what he's use to. His performance is probably going to pull back a little bit unless he can get some air pack of some sort so I might need to workt hat in some how.

I haven't read your post yet and may edit this after I do, but I don't think the atmosphere would be much different than what he's already used to, it's just a normal planet like any other inhabited planet in the galaxy right? And if your a human why would you need an air pack? Mandalorians are humans too.

Well...acctually Mandalore and it's neighbouring systems are supposed to be harsher than most inhabited planets arn't they? I do remember reading somewhere about the harshness of the atmosphere or something.

Okay so I guess then that the atmosphere would be harsher than what he's used to but not unbarable or requiring an air pack. It would just be a little tough to breathe.

It wouldn't make sense for the Mandalorians to have air packs that you might use since they normally breath their own atmosphere's air.

I think you'll just have to suffer a little. What won't kill you will only make you stronger.

Well, I didn't say it was deathly bad, it's like a humid day for him, he's just not gunna be at top performance without you know "actual air"

Orgionally posted by Jokemaster

Sonny gave the orders to the other members of the squad to carry the wounded who couldn't walk. But to Griff he ordered to help him provide cover fire for the retreat along with Joth. Once the Mandalorians were evacuated, Sonny and his squad sealed the door, which wouldn't stop the Vuana, but would slow them down, hopefully long enough for them to reach the bunker.
"Everyone, keep sealing every door we go through. Griff, go to the bunker, grab some grenedes and try setting traps".
Okay I just need to clerify a few things and then you can edit your post Jokemaster.

The medic bay is acctually pretty far from the Armory, you have to go back into the armory, then out the other door into another hall, and down that hall for a while and then you'll come to the armory. There's no fighting taking place near the medic bay for now.

Secondly there isn't really a way to seal the door except a lockdown which can only be done from a control room. Since we're not from this base we don't know where that is but it doesn't matter.

Traps might be found in the armory but really there's just no point.

Our men are just pulling out but there will still be other Mandalorians from Thaldoria to hold the position, we just arn't needed.

Lastly a strategic retreate is where the people closest to the exit provide cover fire while the people farthest run back, past the people providing cover fire, and then provide cover fire in turn for those people to pull back. It's a continuous cycle that carries on indefinetly until they all reach the exit.

It's just safer than everyone randomly retreating because people might get left behind.

Just edit with those changes, everything else is fine. I'm not criticizing you or anything though, just trying to help you out since I didn't really explain it properly in the story. Hope that helps.
