Best Video Game Ending?

Out of all the games you people have played, which had the best ending? Just tell why you liked it, and try to refrain from using spiolers.

Personally, my favorite game ending was with Monkey Island 2. It was just so...ugh...-ish. Its sorta hard to explain...anyone who's played it will know what I mean. It really gives you a feeling of "thats the end? how awful! I'm depressed. lets play more!"

I liked the end of this game called Second Sight. It was a really interesting twist messing with the timelines and precognition.

Depending on how you deal with Mr. Devil person

and your choices made throughout the game....was great playing through several times just to catch the different endings....

The ending of every game of MP Total Annihilation or StarCraft I ever played... a total and utter massacre is always a sure fire winner!

well, there's a couple of games that just left me speechless at the end because you just went through so much only to have something happen. most people would probably agree with me when i cite the ending for halo.

but my favorite ending is from half-life.

I'm old fashioned but either Metal Gear Solid(the original) or Final Fantasy were the greatest endings for me.

but in halo one U blow up the whole damn Halo

and kill every one and if ur smart and figured out the clues from both halo 1 and 2 u already know whats going to hapen in Halo 3 and u would know what "The Ark" is (only place uneffected by the Rings allblowing up)

But i like hmmmmmmmm mabey Zelda or KOTOR good or evil the second one was like Halo 2 too "thats it???"

I gotta say, if I'm enjoying a game, I hate to see it end at all.

I will mention a game with and ending I didn't like. Half-life 2. What in the Sith was going on there?

I liked KotoR's. Also Descent 3's was sweet, but only cause there was some serious beating being laid out.

But the best ones are always left open like Freespace 2, a great game. It would have been awesome to actually see the end of the Shivan war. But oh well.
