A: Kir Kanos is a Royal Guardsman for Palpatine. Kenix Kil is Kir Kanos acting as a Bounty Hunter, and I think Kenix Kil was the name he used during his training on Yinchorr. You can read it in the Crimson Empire comics. Good read.
I really need to re-read my Star Wars library again.
Q: Which Rogue Squadron member is a princess, and of what?

A. Heh. the fact that it is you asking this question Niner, is itself a clue This occurred of course during SOTE era, but IIRC was overlapped by events during the awesome X-Wing Alliance PC game. The Y-Wing escort was provided by none other than Luke Skywalker with a posse of Bothans in tow

A: Former Imerial Royal Guardsmen? From the Crimson Empire mini series by Dark Horse comics? I can't remember for sure...But I think I'm right. And if I am, that makes it my turn to ask a question. But I don't have one atm. I'll edit this later and add one.

Cap, I think you hadn't noticed that the thread spilled over onto a second page(as my question re-Kir Kanos was at the bottom of page 1) No biggie. You are absolutely correct though, as was phreak

A: I believe you are referring to Gilad Pellaeon (I think I actually spelled his name right!), captain of the Imperial Star Destroyer Chimaera (I think I spelled that right too). He became captain after assuming command when the previous captain was killed during the battle. He served under Thrawn, Daala, and others. He becomes Admiral/Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet when Daala was defeated and steps down as Admiral.
I especially like his participation in the New Jedi Order series.
Q: Name all the Super Star Destroyers in Star Wars (I can remember 5 <.<).
Bonus to name all if there is more than 5...

Eclipse-Class:
Eclipse
Built for the Emperor around the Battle of Endor, but wasn't finished until 6 years later. Destroyed by the Emperor when he lost control over the Force Storm he had created.
Eclipse II
Destroyed by the Galaxy Gun, along with a sizable force of other ships, and Byss itself.
Executor-Class:
Aggressor
Flagship of Admiral Roekm stationed in the Inner Rim Regions. Entered into
service before the battle of Endor.
Executor
The very first Executor class to roll out of the shipyards. Commanded by
Admiral Ozzel, later by Captain Piett. Darth Vaders flagship. Met it's
demise when it plunged into the second Death Star surface.
Guardian
Flagship of Fleet Admiral Gaen Drommel. Was stationed in the Core regions
near Coruscant at the time of Return of the Jedi. Heavy damaged three years
after the Battle of Endor, but survived. Captured by the New Republic a
decade later.
Intimidator
Was finished around 13 years after the Battle of Endor. Became the Yevethan
flagship, later renamed to Pride of Yevethan.
Iron Fist
Original named Brawl, but was quickly renamed to Iron Fist by Admiral Zsinj, after his old Victory Class star destroyer.
Knight Hammer
Constructed by warlord Superior General Delvardus and commanded by Admiral Daala approximately eight years after the Emperor's death. Plated with special "stealth armour" as a sensor countermeasure, which has the interesting side-effect of making the hull almost completely black.
Lusankya
Secretly built and buried under the surface of Coruscant. Used as a top security prison complex for Imperial Intelligence.
Razor Kiss
Constructed 4 years after the Battle of Endor. Stolen by (then) Warlord Zsinj.
Reaper
Flagship of Scourge Squadron, an elite group of star destroyers which was formed for Grand Moff Tarkin and commanded by Grand Moff Ardus Kaine subsequent to Tarkin's death. Flagship of Kaine's Pentastar Alignment Imperial faction at a time approximately three years after the Emperor's death.
Terror
Admiral Sarn's command ship appearing in the Rebel Assault II computer game, some time before the Battle of Endor. It’s history is pretty much unknown.
Vengeance
Commanded by Admiral Senn in Airam sector sometime between the battles of Hoth and Endor. It’s fate is unknown.
Mandator-Class:
Mandator
Apparently one of the top line star dreadnoughts in the wealthy and well defended shipbuilding Kuat Sector at the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Supposedly it’s big enough to be included as a Super Star Destroyer, but little is known of it.
Sovereign-Class:
Sovereign
First of atleast 4 Sovereign-Class ships built 6 years after Endor, but was never finished. Unknown reason why not.
Autarch
One of atleast 4 Sovereign-Class ships built 6 years after Endor. Nothing is really known of it.
Despot
One of atleast 4 Sovereign-Class ships built 6 years after Endor. Nothing is really known of it.
Hereshiarch
One of atleast 4 Sovereign-Class ships built 6 years after Endor. Nothing is really known of it.
That's about all I know (some I re-learned about and a few I learned about )
Q: I'll come back to the question, I kinda suck at them, and have to leave for work right now.
I'll think up a good, but not too hard one.

OMG ! Great Answer Jan Do you own the "Essential Guide to Vehicles"
anyways. if you cant fathom a question just say you'll leave it open to someone else.... I hope you do come up with a question, theyre pretty challenging. I find them hard to answer as they are from souurcebooks and the likes, whereas my expertise only extends as far as the novels/comix....

I'm gonna give it to Jan, because he got the pilot's name I was looking for. In the game X-Wing Alliance, you fly as Ace Azzameen in one of the Y-Wings flying cover for Dash Rendar on the Suprosa. Luke is in the mission as well, but he's flying his own X-Wing. I'm pretty sure that's the way it went down in Shadows of the Empire, in both the book and the N64 game. I could be wrong, but I was basing this question off of knowledge of XWA.
And I did not stalk Larry Holland. I wrote him many angry letters and kidnapped his children, but I did not stalk him.
By the way, Rogue Nine's X-Wing had a green trim.

OMG - are you saying the CUSWE is wrong
*fragile reality of Astro's mind disintegrates*
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle, the CUSWE also states the SOTE sourcebook as a reference, and you know those sourcebooks are damn freaky. Nonetheless, since you were referring to XWA, I will trust in your extensive knowledge of that wonderful game.
I really didnt research Rogue Nine for that card, I plugged it into an google image search and found that someone had made a card for it. I just altered the text.

Now, Jan has not supplied us with a question. I will supply one that Im sure he can answer if he feels the need to get on and be questionin'

They're shaped sorta like Star Destroyers, only with big damned dome lookin' thingys on 'em. They're used by the Empire and the remnant. They can pull ships out of hyperspace. Grand Admiral Thrawn used them alot if I remember right.

yep, they are hella cool star destroyers that use gravity well projectors(the domes) to yank ships out of hyperspace. Interestingly enough, the Yuuzhan Vong used biological analogues of these, with dovin basals acting as living gravity well projectors

@SWP, well, I included the others since you asked for super star destroyers.
They all are. Just different classes. I forgot the Vengeance Class though, which is only one known ship from the Jedi Knight game.
Anyway, some interdictors are star destroyers, like the Dominator-Class star destroyer (1.6 km long), while others are much smaller vessels which has been given the the same wedge shape as star destroyers, like the Immobiliser-418.
I forgot to add my question yesterday (sorry about that ), so I shall give it instead of Cap.

A:
just a guess
Imperial Prefect
the highest-ranking Imperial official on a planet, he is the Emperor's liaison with a planet's existing government.
and
Grand Moff
an Imperial governor, presiding over a sector of the galaxy which has been denoted as a priority sector by the Emperor. The Grand Moff's jurisdiction may span one or more sectors, incorporating part of all of the space ruled over by a Moff.
hope i got it right

ah ok.. and no jan... dont know if you heard but DS is no more. they split up. deft took leemu and toonces and many nmor eof the core group to start a new guild. they are on dantooine.
ok so then grand admiral is the correct one:
Grand Admiral
this was the highest rank an Imperial Navy officer could reach, originally establihed by Emperor Palpatine during Fete Week two years prior to the Battle of Yavin. At the time of the Battle of Endor, there were only twelve Grand Admirals in the Navy. They were distinguished from other Imperial officers by their stark, white uniforms, and Palpatine often referred to them as his "Circle of Twelve". The Alliance maintained records of each Grand Admiral's whereabouts, in order to ensure that they didn't get a chance to rally Imperial forces. Among the twelve known Grand Admirals at that time were Martio Batch, Nial Declann, Josef Grunger, Ishin Il-Raz, Afsheen Makati, Danetta Pitta, Pecatti Syn, Miltin Takel, Osvald Teshik, Rufaan Tigellinus, Demetrius Zaarin, and the so-called "Last Grand Admiral," Admiral Grant. The most infamous of them all, however, was the thirteenth Grand Admiral, Thrawn, who filled the void left when Zaarin was killed during his own attempt to become Emperor. By the time the Imperial Remnant agreed to a peace treaty with the New Republic, Pellaeon was believed to the only surviving Grand Admiral, a rank he had earned well after the death of Thrawn.
.....
and after reading through a list of ranks... i hardly know what higher then that... the HIGH INQUISITOR seems to work directly under the emperor... but the emperor's hand... Like Mara Jade had an awefull lot of power aswell. but that wasnt really a rank like the inquisitor.. so ill go with the HIGH INQUISITOR. again a guess
High Inquisitor
this was the name given to the Imperial Dark Side adepts who worked directly for Emperor Palpatine, rooting out potential sources of Jedi candidates and Force activity during the height of the New Order. Known collectively as the Inquisitorious, the High Inquisitors struck fear into the hearts of beings by their mere presence. Through the efforts of the High Inquisitors, Emperor Palpatine hoped complete his Jedi Purge and eliminate any possible threat from the Jedi Knights.
dont think its correct tho

That's also how you ask an easy question. It was the ship used by the assassin droids IG-88. It was destroyed by Boba Fett over Tatooine.

pfft ! yeah, I know that, but the world of EU is nebulous beyond the realms Steve Swanseets little mind. Siv is 100% on the money...

Palpatine's full name (assuming he has any names other than "Palpatine" alone) has never been revealed. The usage "Emperor Palpatine" suggests that Palpatine is in fact his only name, though the use of titles such as "Senator Palpatine" suggests it may be his family name. Nevertheless, the original version of his character in Lucas's early scripts was named "Cos Da****" and many Star Wars fan fiction writers have quite incorrectly adopted the name "Cos Palpatine" in their stories and web pages -- so much so that it has become fanon. Of course, Palpatine might be a name of state, as the name Amidala is, so it may mean that neither Palpatine's given nor family name is known.

A. Vader's Castle, aka Bast Castle, aka Vader's Fortress, was located on the planet Vjun. It was one of the few places Lord Vader could recuperate outside of his armor. After his death, the reborn Emperor used it as a staging point for his return to power. His Dark Jedi made it a base for their operations. Luke Skywalker and some of his Jedi eventually find it and are able to defeat the Dark Jedi. Vjun and Vader's Castle were featured in the game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Jedi Jaden Korr and Kyle Katarn go to Vjun to retrieve a lost apprentice. (I'm really not quite sure what you want for EU relevance and the game.)
Q. Identify the "A-Wing Slash" and its first appearance in the EU.
have a suggestion for the lf poll? pm me

Nice answer Niner except you forgot to mention it mainly featured in the DARK EMPIRE comix and the Young Jedi Knights story 'Kenobi's Blade'.
The BONUS POINTS ANSWER : The Dark Empire Comics depict Luke destroying Vader's Statue in a fit of rage...... When you get to Vjun on JA...the statue is in pieces.... Jaden even makes a smarta$$ comment about it..

anyway - back to Niners question
Q. Identify the "A-Wing Slash" and its first appearance in the EU.
