The journies towards the seventh sky

It is the year 334, the lands of the Eldar lie in ruins, the humans are corrupted, the demons travel freely and monstrocities beyond your wildest nightmares wait right behind the next corner. The lands are filled with darkness... People or holiness; priests, clerics and mages talk of a land far away, where still the trees grow strong and green, not twisted and dark. It is told that two ancient but young elves shalld guide the people there, but the problem is, that the elves are very few and nobody knows where they live now, if not under the Seventh sky...

OOC: No need for profiles, explain the charasteristics and names and other stuff as the RP goes on. Note, there are only two of the 'chosen' elves, but if you want to be an elf, go ahead. Also, I want some changes in the normal clichι-RP's that involve fantasy every time. I want dwarves, barbarians and other odd creatures. Not only humans and elves

-------
The dim light of a pipe lit the corner of a normal INN near the marketplace of Algares, the capital of the first human kingdom, right near the shores of the huge lake, actually more of a sea by it's size, that was cut half by the kingdoms' borders. The large man's dark green eyes looked around at the few travellers inside, his hand going at the brown, nicely carved pipe in his mouth. His black shirt barely revealed his huge muscles, ordinary to a barbarian like him. A couple of throwing axes hung on his belt and his warhammeron his back, not covered by any kind of cape or such. He had only a small cap on his head to hide his short, black, messy hair. His black pants revealed that he had just come from a ship of their condition. Nothing extraordinary in this city... But their passenger was a whole other thing
-------
A young looking man slept tightly in the same INN's corner room of the second floor. His long hair covered his ears, keeping his secret as his own. His hooded cape lied on a chair nearby with his two scimitars. It was not every day that you would see this secretive elf around. His bag was sealed tightly into a chest under the bed

OOC: Okay, post away and try the thing I call literacy, okideio? As for Wildjedi, feel free to make another 'gollum'-character or twins or something... I miss them...

A relatively short man walked into the INN. He had very broad shoulders, but his cloack covered the rest of his body, a beard hung low from his face and there was a Waraxe on his back, he was clearly a Dwarf. He sat down at a table and took out his smaller axe on the table, leaned back and made a sigh of comfort.

((Well, I'm not entirely happy about loosing a bunch of what I've done here, but I may as well do something to keep myself happy. I'll do twins this time rather than Gollum...))

Two young women slipped quietly to an unoccupied corner of the INN. It was instantly apparent that these two would be incredibly difficult to tell apart. They were identical twins and were even dressed alike in floor length deep blue dresses. They had long blonde hair that was left covering their ears and blue eyes that seemed to miss nothing.

They sat down and began to speak to one another, keeping their voices low enough to be unheard.

"I don't see him yet," one said. The other shrugged.

"We'll know when he comes," she answered. "He loves to make a fool of himself by making a grand entrance."

"I don't like this, Jen," the first muttered. Jen smiled.

"Don't worry, Sam," she said. "We've done this too many times for it to go wrong with him."

"I know," Sam sighed. "But it's... well, it's him, you know. I... I don't know, Jen. Something's just wrong about this job."

"We're doing the right thing, Sam," Jen whispered. "But no more. He is here."

They looked toward the door and saw a man entering through the same door they had just used. He was screaming unintelligably and Jen frowned. After a few minutes, of screaming, the man fell silent and came over to see the two women in the corner.

"I will have both of you tonight," he said loudly. Jen shoved her drink toward him.

"Have this first," she told him in a quiet voice. He downed the entire glass in one swallow and Sam pushed hers toward him. He took that one also and did the same with it. Then, he stepped away from the table.

"I don't feel so good," he muttered. "But here's the room I'm staying in."

He told the women and they nodded. Then, he staggered away from the table. He got to the middle of the room and then collapsed, holding his stomach.

"Ah, the pain," he groaned. There was a muted pop and the man's eyes widened for a second. Then, his hands fell away from his stomach and it was clear that he was dead. Sam nearly threw up, but managed to hold her hand over her mouth and prevent it. Jen immediately jumped up and took her sister by the arm.

"I was afraid of this," she whispered, leading Sam out of the room and to the private room they had requested earlier that day.

"Ah, crap..." the man sighed and put the pipe out and away before getting up, proving himself as at least a head taller than the average human and so as a barbarian. He walked to the body and kicked it, checking it's condition. "He's dead allright..." he mumbled to himself, stepped over it and up the stairs. He knocked on a door, waking the elf up.

The elf jumped up from the bed and grabbed his other scimitar. He walked to the door. "Who is it?" he asked throughth the door and recieved a grunt from the tother side. "It's Bearog" the barbarian said and the door opened. "Time to get going Ilenal..." Bearog said to the elf and walked back downstairs.

Ilenal closed the door and walked to his hooded cape and put it on. He put the scimitars into their scabbards and walked out. He unlocked the chest, opened it and took his bag. He walked out and closed the door. The elf yawned slightly, walking slowly and very quietly to the stairs and walked down, glancing over at the barbarian

((yeah, whats with the no recent threads?))

Iregrin jumped up out of his sea and put the smaller axe back where it belonged. He watched the barbarian kick the body right after he saw the women scamper into the room.
"what the bloody 'ell...Alright, i'm out of 'ere." Ire said as he walked over and flicked a coin to the Innkeeper.
"that should pay for it" Ire said then put his hood back up over his head and walked out the door.

The instant the door was closed, Sam's sickness vanished and she joined Jen in gathering their things. With full bags, they left through a back door of the INN. Not far from the exit, Jen let out a low hiss.

"Drop the bags," she whispered. "And pretend sickness again. That Barbarian was in there."

Sam obeyed and Jen took hold of her arm.

A man seemed to be not too far away from where the twins were, in an alleyway across from the rear of the INN. His messy black hair covered his face, and his black cape covered most of his body. He was rather young, in his late teens or early twenties. He also seemed to not have noticed either of the ladies, and was just leaning against the wall, seemingly staring into space. A clearly visible long, one handed sword ( Picture here ) rested in one of his hands, which was sitting lazily by his side. He looked to be out of breath, as if he'd just been running from something. On the ground next to him was a bag and some other items. Even after a long period of time, this man still seems to not notice anyone whatsoever, but he does occasionally turn his head around the corner, as if trying to see if whatever was after him was gone.

((Thank you Redwing... Some of us could've answered too, but we don't want to put you out of business... Oh, wait... yes we do... >_>))

Ilenal walked to the barbarian and sat down.
"When?"
"Soon"
"Soon?"
"Well what did you think?"
"I thought we would go now"
Bearog grunted and took the ale that was infront of them. He gulped it down and glanced over at the stairs. He knew that they had to wait. The twins were much too odd to be either human or ordinary elves. By what the barbarian had seen of Ilenal, elves could be very odd sometimes.
Ilenal sighed and looked around nervously. He wanted to get out of the city as fast as he could...

"I hate windows," Sam muttered, glancing over to the INN and where the Barbarian sat inside. By the time the dwarf approached them, their bags were dropped close to the wall of the INN and Sam appeared to be sick.

Jen stared at him. "I don't know what you mean," she said.

"i'm short not stupid, i watched you give those drinks to the man. Now no man dies after two 'normal' drinks, so they musta've been poisoned." Ire looked at them with an evil glare, then realized they would probably be confused why he would be asking.
"i ask because i was sent my King Magni himself to go out and do good amoung the nations, well those were his words anyway."

The man looked over towards the dwarf and the twins, just now realizing their presence. His breathing seemed to slow, as if he was relieved he'd felt he'd lost whatever seemed to be tracking him. He managed to stand up straight from the wall and grab his things. He seemed to have a noble stature, as if he once lived a much more "rich" life, one of more chivalry and nobility, but was now reduced to a wanderer, trying to find places safe from whatever was after him. He started to head out into the street, still attempting not to be noticed as he headed towards the inn. His eyes showed he hadn't slept for many nights, and the nearby INN was almost like a gift from a greater power to him.

"Well, it wasn't exactly poison," Jen sighed, glancing toward the window through which she could see the Barbarian. "But it certainly had a similar effect."

"Not quite," Sam interrupted. "A poison enters the bloodstream. What we gave him quite literally liquified his stomach and heart." She shuddered. "Amazingly disgusting, really, but it's the weakest thing we have access to."

"The reason we're telling you this is simple," Jen went on. "Your king sent you to do good for the nations. We travel for a rather similar reason. Men such as the one who died tonight do not deserve life and tend to corrupt any life they come in contact with."

"We are assassins," Sam cut in again. "But we choose our jobs carefully. Only men such as that suffer by us."

"So you see," Jen finished, "we are doing good for the nations as well, though I imagine you have severely different methods for doing so."

The man kept walking, clearly overhearing the conversation and doubling his pace. Suddenly afterwards, he stopped in the middle of the street, hearing a noise. He looked around, wondering to himself, "Did those demons catch up with me..?" and started to draw his sword.

As the twins looked back inside, the barbarian was gone and the elf was staring right out of the window at them, his face and eyes covered by the hood's shadow. The barbarian walked up the stairs and into the room where the elf had just slept. It was amazing how agile he was for a bulky barbarian as he opened the window and soon was out. He looked down to check if nobody was to se him, then jumped down, letting no sounds as he landed softly, taking his other throwing axe into his hand. He sneaked closer to the noisy group, a smile on his face.
A hand grabbed Jen suddenly and the throwing axe's blade touched her neck. "Hello Jen and Sam. I've been told that you've been looking me. What is it? You want to poison me like that guy inside?" he asked and smirked, gripping tighter on Jen.

"Not at all, Bearog," Jen answered calmly as though nothing were out of the ordinary. "Truth be told, we've learned that you know the location of another target on our list."

She turned to look at him. "Ah, so you were the Barbarian in the INN. Where's your friend? I'm sure he's here somewhere too, isn't he?"

"And you know we're referring to Ilenal," Sam added, loosing all appearance of sickness. She laughed. "Don't worry. He's not on our list. Even if he was, we don't assassinate Elves."

"But that's beside the point," Jen went on. "We've been searching for you because we want your help. Come, let's return to the INN and talk about it."

Bearog took a step back, putting the axe back and release Jen. "No, no... First I want to hear why do you know about that elf in there, why do you want my help and why here?" he said, shaking his head a bit, putting his hands onto his belt

The elf stared at the fuss from the window, a small smile on his mouth. He wasn't usually smiling, ut whathe saw from the window seemed actually hilarious... There was something about the twins he found funny, actually.

"We know of a lot of people," Jen answered quietly. "You already know why we want your help and we're asking for it here because all of us are here now."

"Hmh... Allright then... But for your warning. If Ilenal is on your list, he has some swift hands when they grasp his weapons..." he said and looked around. "I'm not sure of you, so you go first. Never turn your back to an assassin, like my mentor used to say..."

The man soon walked into the INN, not wanting to be caught outside if his thoughts were correct. Upon going in, he saw the elf looking out the window and looked at him curiously. He walked over to the window and looked at him, "Something interesting out there?" he wondered out loud, standing next to Ilenal.

"I already said he's not on the list," Jen told Bearog. "As for us going first... well, your mentor is very wise."

She walked back toward the INN and went back to their bags. While Jen went in through the front entrance, Sam took their bags back to the room and came down the stairs.

The man noticed the women walking in, and moved away from Ilenal. He sighed, and went to whoever he needed to go to to get a room for the night. He couldn't help but look at the twins from the corner of his eye. It had been quite awhile since he had seen elves of any kind, especially the three here. He was debating on asking if he could accompany them, but he thought against it, considering he could put the group in considerable danger should those who were seeking him catch up. Of course, the barbarian would be defense enough for them, he didn't want to put them in danger on his account. He sighed as he got his room key, but decided to sit in the far corner for awhile and lean back in his seat, trying to organize his thoughts.

"Well I have to be sure" Bearog said before walking inside after them. He looked at the twins and sat quickly on the other side of the table, Ilenal staring at the barbarian. "Well... You certainly can be quiet if I know anything about you" he said and looked at the elf with a raised eyebrow. He looked at the twins again, waiting for them to sit down

The man watched the group for awhile, probably by now an obvious presence in the room. He seemed interested in what they were up to.

Ire then started to head off. He made his Ram go full speed, and was soon out of the city on his way to a small town to meet up with a contact from Ironforge.

((Only Jen is at the table with Bearog and Ilenal. Sam went through the back to their room.))

Jen sat down and looked at Ilenal.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ilenal," she said in a low voice. "I am Jennifer and my sister is Samantha. We are better known as Jen and Sam. I wouldn't be surprised if you've heard of us... then again, I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't either."

Meanwhile, Sam had replaced the bags in their room and came downstairs. She glanced toward where her sister sat with Ilenal and Bearog before moving to the corner where a strange man sat.

"You seem to be taking an interest in the little group over there," she said, taking a seat next to him.

((Craig, I'd have mentioned that you might be mildly surprised by Sam's appearance after seeing Jen seated nearby, but I suddenly remembered that you've already seen both of them, so never mind. ))

Ilenal looked at Jen quietly, his eyes examining her slowly. "Umh... He's not really talkative..." Bearog said and looked at the two staring at each others. Ilenal looked suddenly at Bearog and the barbarian could feel his eyes narrowing at him almost angrily. The barbarian swallowed quietly and backed off a bit, ordering an ale to himself. Ilenal looked back at Jen and at last let out a smile under the shadows of his hood. "You're either elves or humans... I am not sure" he suddenly said, his voice a bit brighter than usually. If they were actually elves, it would be his first contact with another of his species since the destruction

((We'll say he didn't know they were twins. He might've just seen the back of their heads from his box seat view in the alley lol.))

The man blinked, kind of confused for a moment, but it didn't take him long to figure it out, and his suprise was evident on his face. He looked at Sam and replied, his tone sounding quiet and tired, "Your small group is the only people I've seen since I fled my home. I'm not plotting anything, I don't want to bring any danger to your group." He looked down. He wanted to ask to accompany them, because his many days of solitary exile was proving to be more harm than good to himself, but once again, he was held back by his wishes to not bring that which was following him upon the group.

Jen smiled at Ilenal. "We are something between the two," she answered. "Neither fully Elf nor fully Human." She brushed her hair gently away from her left ear. It was slightly pointed... not so pointed as an Elf ear and yet not fully round like the ear of a Human. "Our mother was an Elf. Our father was Human."

Sam laughed at the man's astonishment and smiled when he spoke. "It would take a lot to be dangerous to my sister and I," she said. She stared at him intently for a moment.

"You're being chased," she finally said. "I can see it in your eyes. You're afraid of whatever it is." She sighed. "If you want to talk about it, I will listen."

Ilenal looked away and his eyes narrowed. 'Half-elves... Great... Like I need that scum around me right now...' he thought, shaking his head slightly under ths still hood. His eyes looked at Bearog for a moment, then they just disappeared to watch into emptyness.
Bearog looked at Ilenal and then at Jen. "So, what do you want with me?" he asked, tilting his head a bit

The man looked at the woman, "I do not mean that I will bring any harm upon you two myself..." he trailed off. He sighed and nodded.

"It's a long story..." he started, "I used to be part of a more..chivalrous family. My father was a Knight of some sort, and he taught me how to fight. Just last year, our town fell to demons or something. We didn't know what hit us. I fled, in order to survive. The..monsters..that destroied my home..they've been following me, as if they don't want to leave any eyewitnesses about what happened alive. I've been travelling for a year now, trying to get away from it."

"It gets worse than a half-Elf," Jen said, still staring at Ilenal. "Somewhere along the line, our bloodline was crossed with a shapeshifter." Her eyes darkened to brown as she said this and then faded back to blue. She sighed. "I cannot change what blood runs in my veins. But I can decide the kind of person I want to be."

Sam looked at the man who sat next to her. "Perhaps we can help you," she said. She offered a hand. "I'm Samantha, by the way. We never introduced ourselves properly. My sister and I are assassins... of a kind. We pick our own jobs and occasionally take on the job of protectors. I can speak for us both as I know she would be as intrigued by you as I am."

The town was close so it not take long to get there. Once Ire reached the Tavern he tied up his ram and headed in, once inside he saw his contact and walked over to him.
"Iregrin, King Magni was ordered you off your duty."
"What? why?"
"Because someone who has superior skills has come to take over."
"And who would that be?"
"Me"
"You dirty little BASTARD!" with that Ire lept at him and whipped out his smaller axe and sliced the man's neck.
"Superior skills my hairy little arse." Ire said, then looked around to see everybody looking at him.
"Sorry for the mess." Ire said then threw a small bag of coins at the barkeep, then walked out and untied the ram, mounted it and rode back to the other town.

"Well that's just even better..." Ilenal mumbled and for the first time with the barbarian around, he ordered an ale.
Bearog shook his head at Ilenal and looked at Jen with a raised eyebrow.
"I ask again, What do you want with me. I want to get over this as swiftly as possible"

((It's not possible to change your account name without remaking your entire account is it?))

The man reached out with his hand and shook hers, nodding. "My name's..Virgil." He seemed rather reluctant about it. He wasn't particularly shy, but after a year of solitary travel, he hadn't had much contact with anyone who he felt he could trust.

Also the fact that she just confessed they were assassins worried him, because he was quite sure he caused a few troubles during his passing from town to town, and hoped she wouldn't recognize his name. He didn't particularly want to deal with his past accidents, his worst one being accidently leading the monsters he was fleeing from into a defenseless village, and he couldn't even fathom how much his head would be worth after that.

He shifted his position slightly, moving his one hand that had been on his sword hilt the whole conversation onto the table. "Why does my story intrigue you?" He asked curiously, "I don't find anything about the destruction they caused fascinating in any particular way," he finished.

Ire rode fast and hard. He hated being told not to do something rihgt after he was told to do it. He rode right up to the Inn, tied up his ram, stormed in and ordered 6 of the barkeeps strongest stuff.
