First Annual PYD Awards!
Actually, the second, but no matter. Thanks to Niko's nostalgia thread, I've decided to do another awards show. Here's how it works! BTW- PYD stands for "Pit o' Ye Damned". I'm sure next year there'll be another name for these awards.
Nominations
We start with the nominations. In each category, you may nominate up to three people to win the award. You may only do this once. If you register to be a member at LF halfway through nominations, then I'm sorry, but you can't do nominations...seeing how you don't really know anyone. The 4 people with the most nominations for a category at the end of a week and half (so the Saturday after this upcoming one, a.k.a. Jan. 15) become our actual nominees for the award.
Awards
There will be 14 categories this year, ranging from "Best Newbie" to "Stupidest User". They're all for fun, so...ya. Once nominations are made, I will post two threads a day w/polls in them. That way, all the awards will be up and able to be voted on. You have only 4 days to vote for an award, so we should be done by Jan. 26 or so...which is in three weeks from now.
The Awards Themselves
I will need somebody to draw the awards. If anyone wants to volunteer, say so with your nominations. It's first come, first serve, essentially, and so if you think you're a good artist w/the computer, or if you know you are, please volunteer, b/c I definitely can't do it.
*Note* If you have any suggestions for what the awards should look like, PM the artist when they are chosen.
"But what if..."
-There aren't even four total nominees for a category?
If there are only three people that have been suggested as nominees, there will only be three nominees for that category. If there are only two, they will be the only two. If there is only one, they automatically win the award.
-I don't get nominated for an award?
Well, I'm sorry. Better luck next year! Although, I'm sure a lot of people would wind up w/an award after the whole thing.

Here are the categories for the first annual, 2005 PYD Awards!!
Best Newbie- To be considered a newbie, you have to have been registered here after January 5, 2004
Best First Impression- For newbies, the newbie who gave the best first impression
Best Regular- Registered between January 5, 2002 and January 5, 2004
Best Oldie- Oldie=Registered before January 4, 2002, meaning 3+ years
Most Newbie-ish Non-Newbie- Anybody not a newbie that still acts like a typical one, meaning, tons of smilies and strange things in their posts
Stupidest User- Self-explanatory
Smartest User- See above description
Biggest Jerk- See above
Nicest User- See above
Best ADD- Person that has the most Attention Defecit Disorder-like tendencies, people that get side-tracked easily
Most Spam-O-Licious User- Biggest spam offender
Best Male- Your favorite male for the whole year, whether it's most interesting or wadeva
Best Female- Fave female, whether it's biggest jugsmost interesing or wadeva
Best User of the Year- Fave user, whether it's most interesting or wadeva

Hmm, if this tradition goes on long enough, maybe the awards should be really small, like: 
Expect they would be pretty or something, and say "Best Oldie" or "Best Newbie" or something.
This way the winners can put them in their sigs for recognization.
