Just thought I’d let you know (complements)

I’m not sure if any of you have ever played the game Deus Ex but it is a very good game, the sequel isn’t really all that good. Anyway it came to pass that people started talking about remaking the game on a newer system, the old one isn’t nearly as outdated as Dark Forces but people always want it better.

Someone said that such a project was too much work, to which I replied that it wasn’t, if they were dedicated enough.

When I read that they were thinking of remaking a game on a new system I immediately thought of you guys. I used you as an example of what they would need to do, hard work in spite of real life, long term commitment to the project, attention to detail, loving recreation, all of that stuff.

It’s not a big deal, but I thought that you should know that you are the example of what I think a mod team should be, and what I think a recreation project needs to be. The shining example of goodness, and so forth.

Unfortunately no, the forum was closed down shortly after, and I only went there occasionally so I don't know where they regrouped. Kind of kills the buzz. It was only after I found out the forum had closed that I thought to tell you. When I found the forum was gone I as angry at myself for not checking earlier to see what their reactions were.

That’s when I realized that using you as an example of what a mod should be is probably the highest praise I could give. The truth is I don’t actually remember the exact words I used.

You’re welcome. I think the respect you show the fans always reminds us of our own importance. It’s nice to be listened to and have input considered.
