Of course I would! Why on Earth wouldn't I? Its still the best game I've played recently, and it makes for great modding.

sure, why not? just because the ending wasn't that great doesn't mean that its a terrible game.

thats why i tend to agree with gamespot's rating of the game. it was excellent in everything except the ending and the dated graphics engine.

Eesh.

I think I have spent up to 40 hours and as fast as 25 hours to beat TSL.

If you would dislike a game mainly because some stuff was cut from the game, what kind of a fool are you? It's still an amazing game, and if you simply don't like it because you think it's not that great of a game, then I wouldn't care. But you state that you wouldn't MAINLY because of the fact that a number of things were cut. KOTOR2 isn't the only game which had things cut. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if every big game which promised things before release had at least one thing cut. It's not that rare. No offense but, if that's what the main factor in determining what games are good, then you have no taste whatsoever.

I guess so...maybe for the PC version.

It took me 28 hours and 11 minutes to finish KOTOR 2. The longest it took me was 39 hours and 41 minutes.

The question was, with knowledge of the ending and everything cut out, if you knew the whole story and everything, would you still buy it?

Or more simply put, if you lost your copy of TSl, would you buy another one?

My answer: hell yes.

I'd be ready to do a lot of things for another copy.

I feel i need to explain myself some more with the question.

I feel KOTOR 2 was a good game but after all the hype that surround the release i just feel it did't live up to what was expected or even promised.

There wasn't that much hype at all actually. TSL came rigth after such crazily hyped released as HL2, Halo 2, World of WarCraft and Battle for Middle Earth.
I felt that KOTOR II was hardly noticed compared to those.

This isn't entirely true.

spoiler:
Allthough the mercenaries attacking you were hired by czerka they were not working for czerka anymore when you meet them cause they were "rebelling" against the czerka. They wanted more money and attacked the czerka company so thats why you get attacked by the mercaneries on telos' surface

But yeah, i'd buy it again.

Just at the moment...maybe not, as I don't play it that often now. If I had been asked a couple of months ago, the answer would be a resounding 'Yes!', if I was asked after TSLRP comes out, same again.

But, based on my opinion of the story, it's replay value, graphics, mods, etc., etc., etc. ...

No question - I would definitely have purchased it again had it been lost.

If I just lost it around the house, I'd look for it (though it'd probably take me a couple years to find it )
If the disk snapped, I'd get it as soon as I possibly could!!!!!

Yes. And then, yes. And then, yes. Well, you catch my drift.
I got it for the XBox, then, I learned about the HUEG community and mods for the PC version, so, I tried to find one. Took me ages tho.

Nope. Wouldn't even consider it. Let's see...I can shell out money to get a game where I already know exactly what happens. Or...I could NOT, and get a game I haven't already played.

Gee.

Besides, I don't even like TSL that much anyway.

No, I would not buy it again because I have not lost my copy. If I did, I'd probably just download it.

That would be it. Most people who criticize the game do actually like it. It just did not live up to K1. I think that created the impression that many people donot like the game.

I'm not saying there are not those who do not like the game.

I think what the question ment was would you but the game if you knew it would not livve up to the hype, not if you lost it today.

Despite how old this thread is, and my dislike for TSL, I must voice my opinion and say that I would buy it again. It's not as fun as the first, not as appealing or interesting but on the other hand it's a fairly decent sequel and it tells the rest of the KotOR story. And then there's Kreia...
