bounty hunters vs jedi

Knowing some of the jedi skills, what would be good defences and attacks that bounty hunters could use against them.

some of my ideas

- slower conversion rate
- a way of locking them down (similar to protoss ship or the guy who launches the nuk misiles in starcraft)
- able to detect them

These are pretty simple, I did not think about it much in a rush.

Also should the bounty hunters be superior to the jedi. eg one bounty hunter is able to take out jedi maybe 2 - 3 of them but are very weak againts normal troops like there powers dont affect normal troops except for blaster of course.

I think that would be good It would cause small battles within larger ones. I like the idea of a purely counter unit. Just make bounty hunters a bit more expensive then the jedi. I sure bobo fett charges alot.

Bounty Hunters:

make expensive: Yes

make able to detect Jedi: Yes

Make more powerful than Jedi: just slightly

Weak against normal soldiers: Nah, they collect bounty on other people besides Jedi.

Only weakness: Blind Smugglers swinging staffs not even knowing where the Bounty Hunter is!

Han: "Boba Fett? Where's Boba Fett"

Boba Fett: "Ahhhhh!"

Sarlacc: "Burp"

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand

stealth is confirmed for bounty hunters... i think they'll have some kind of attack bonus against them as well and will be resistant to conversion or at least very hard to convert.
other than that i don't know yet. it depends on what technologies / upgrades jedi get.

Maybe they will be resistant to or at least strong against all the force powers of the jedi, not just the conversion.

that would make sense.. a counter unit is, after all, a counter unit.

course it would make sense

Peter: Another thing that grinds my gears is when I can't find the droids I'm looking for.
Stormtrooper: Yeah, I know. What gives with that?

it's pretty obvious, isn't it, Kuma ?
Bounty hunters will be a great addition, because they won't be too heavily involved, and that adds to the mystique of them in the movies..

Yes, Eureka was supposedly the word shouted by Archimedies (sp) when he believed he had successfully turned lead into Gold (Alchemy)

Don't ask me why I know that.....

Ok, i won't.

BTW, Does anyone know what kinda weapons will the Bounty Hunters have? Are they blasters, or more of a melee type attack?

Blasters deffinatly. Because in the screenshots you notice that there is a bounty hunter there that looks like Boba Fett and he is carring a blaster. Most likely it's the same for all other civs too. Well with the slight exeption of gungans. Who know what they might have for the bounty hunters.

Go to the galacticbattles.com and look at their screenshots. It is the one on the top left. In the imperial ranks there is Boba Fett.

And a Dark Trooper by the way.

Anyways, i think that the Gungans have a human Bounty hunter, just like the other "good" civs. I think it was Boush(?), which is Leia in disguise.

Yes I saw the Dark trooper. I was much more menacing than I thought it would be.

something like they showed in rebellion. Only regular trooper size. It looks twice as tall as those stormtroopers.

If i am not mistaking, in rebellion they do look oversized, bigger than most units.

That was the way they handled the screen there. The Troopers were in the foreground of the picture, with the 'camera' very low. That made them look big, but in reality they're only about a head taller than regular Stormtroopers.

"Aren't you a little short for a Dark... erm, Stormtrooper ?" (Leia, SW)

How can you be sure? Do they have specs posted somewhere? Anyways, you're right about the rebellion thing, but their build looks alot different than the picture too, anyone else notice that?

Plus they were attacking Ugnauts on that picture. So it made them look huge on it.
