Well....kinda close. There is something more specific that I'm looking for. Let's keep the question open a little longer.
I'll try to see if I can find an image of it online for people's reference.

jedispy talked of a glitch in the Vader / Skywalker duel portion, but not of a lightsaber's problem... I'd say it is the presence of a blaster, on Luke...

maybe, i have all the OT and SE posters on my wall next to me, but the ROTJ SE is half ripped so that might be right with the blaster, i can't tell.

I cant see anything else wrong with it though.

Leviathan got it. More specifically, it is the lightsaber duel from Empire Strikes back that is on the Return of the Jedi poster.

In A New Hope, you can see the words power and Tractor Beam on the tractor beam Obi-Wan disables. But it has been removed from the DVD version and was replaced by the equivalent in Aurebesh.

Q. What is special about Beru's (Luke's aunt) lines in ANH ?

They've been changed since the original, and the lines have been re-recorded with someone elses voice .... I believe.

Pass on question if I'm right.

Yes, this duel remembered to me the beginning of the duel in the Carbonite chamber... Moreover, Storm Troopers took Luke's blaster before his meeting with the Emperor...

Sorry, I do not have any question... Have to pass on it...

In all actuality, the Imperial Officer turning Luke over said that he was armed only with his lightsaber. But you are right, the presence of a blaster would not have been true.

Q: When was the first time in any Star Wars movie that a blaster bolt was deflected by a lightsaber? (I'm looking for theatrical movie order, not chronological movie order)

But no shots were ever fired there though.

Obi-Wan disarmed him, quite literally , before a single shot was fired.

I believe the first lightsaber deflecting took place on top of Jabba's Sailbarge, in RotJ.

Point to Jan Gaarni. Note I mentioned blaster bolt. The remotes shoot a little blast, but it's not the same as a blaster bolt. There are no lightsaber deflections used like this in ANH & ESB. Only in ROTJ is it done on a full scale in the OT. Of course in the prequels it's crammed down our throats.

Q: Multiple choice. Where was Slave 1 on Bespin?
a. Docking Bay 94
b. East Platform
c. Docking bay 327
d. Platform 327

LOL. That's what I thought. Luke's X-wing landed on Platform 327. It's all good though.

This might be a expanded Universe style question. If so, it would be better if you posted it over in the SW EU thread

It isn't really an Expanded Universe-related question...

Yes, this is a EU related question, please drop it, and abstain from making anymore irrelevant posts in this thread, this is spam. I suggest you read the first post of the thread again to refresh your memory. ~coupes

Weirdly, we have two different visions of what must be considered as undesirable posts...

Ok, here's an easy question:
Cell 2187 was in what detention block of the Death Star?
Detention block AA23.

Here's a hard one

Q. Who was the ISB officer assigned to brief Grand Moff Tarkin about the Rebellion's status?

(and yes you see him in the movie, not an EU question)

lil', could you tell us the rank of this ISB officer, please ? (Commander, General, etc...)

PS : I'm not sure that this topic is in the right section... If I were you, I'd think to move it in the Expanded Universe section...

Hello All. I am pleased to announce I am back from my vacation. We had a great time in Thailand, with many highlights.. I even got to cuddle 1 panther and 2 tigers on separate occasions!! I'll put up some pics once theyre done

Anyways, its great to see things have ticked along nicely, and thanks to the regulars and mods who helped it do so...

now, that question about the ISB Officer.... I think the best way to tell if things are "EU" or not(apart from looking them up at sw.com) is if that character was named in a EU book that was published subsequent to the movies, like the "Tales of" books for example. However, if the character is named in the script/novelisation or on screen then of course it cannot fall under under EU...(and would be G-level canon according to Lucasfilms current published definitons)

* * *

Its seems that there isnt an active question....so here's one

Q. True or False ? Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas was a sith lord ? Explain.

I know you have stated that he is a colonel, but there are no imp colonels listed in the film castlisting or the novelsiation. I dont have a copy of the ANH script so cant say 100%. I can name an imp colonel from ANH, but the source is from SWCCG, which is strictly EU, even though its of a character you see in the movie.

anyways, please let us know the answer

if anyone chimes in with the answer for that I will award them the point, but the new question can stay there

ok Colonel Wullf Yularen, I believe he was named long after the movies were made but he still appeared in them, he was never called a Clonel because his rank insignia could not be seen very well in the movie.

A: Sifo-dyas was a sith lord because although he was on the counsel (the rest of this is guess work), he faked his death and then joined the sith. He then ordered the clone army with order 66 and was clearly working for Palpatine.

Pass as im quite clearly gonna be wrong.

Thanks for the answer lil_dude. Wulf Yularen is definitely EU. Interesting you pointed out his rank markings, as numerous continuity freaks have commented on the inconsistencies in rank insignias over the OT

For those who are curious, Wulf is the old dude sitting at the holotable discussion in ANH(where Vader chokes Motti). He is wearing a white impy uniform, leading to the incorrect assumption that he was a grand admiral. My initial inclinations were correct upon confirmation of the name, Wulf Yularin was only ever named in the CCG(and perhaps RPG sourcebooks) as far as I know and have been able to dig up. Neither CUSWE nor SW.com has an entry for him.

Theres a pic on this page for those interested.

Linkage

guybroom.... It is actually not 100% clear from the movies if sifo-dyas was a sith lord. He was very clearly a pawn of Dooku/Palpy but that does not necessarily mean he was a sith lord. EU is similarly ambiguous about it. I am giving you the point though, since you have stated all the facts as given in the film.

correct, Leviathan.

* * *

Q. Name all the admirals and generals in all 6 films.
(nb. they have to have been named on screen, *NO* EU names!!)

EDIT:

No takers? Heres what I could come up with

Ep I
General Jar Jar Binks

Ep II
General Obi Wan Kenobi

Ep III
General Grievous
General Obi Wan Kenobi
(Anakin's Rank not mentioned on screen though he is also a General)

Ep IV
General Dodonna
(Admiral Motti is seen, speaks, is named in the book/script but name is not mentioned on screen)

Ep V
Admiral Ozzel
Admiral Piett
Admiral Riekaan(sic?)

Ep VI
General Han Solo
General Lando Calrissian
General Crix Madine
Admiral Ackbar

That's most of them, let me know if Ive missed any..

New Question:

3 POINT SPECIAL !

Q. What do Bib Fortuna and General Grievous have in common ??

All I can think of is that General Grievous is in a mechanical body and Bib Fortuna is placed inside a Bolmarr Monk(mechanical spider thing) soon after ROTJ.
