Meet Ron Gilbert

In case you haven't been keeping up to date with Ron Gilbert's Blog, he will be meeting fans and discussing shtuff with them on the 7th or 8th of May. I will be flying out from Dublin Airport with a couple of other Irish Idle Thumbers, and anybody who wants to come and can make it is more than welcome.

Anybody here interested in attending?

Where, I'm too swamped in finals work to click that link... oddly enough not too busy to type this...

No leave for this boy. A colleague is on an extended (4 weeks) vacation in Australia and I'm buried in work. People are throwing stuff at me from every direction you can imagine.

So even though it's on a weekend...

Excuses excuses!

Finals? Work? Exams? Cancel them all! This is once in a life-time chance to touch the divine, to converse with a God, to glimpse eternal bliss.

Or it might be a good chance to get Ron Gilbert drunk and steal his wallet.

Anyway, I'll be going.

On G4TV on Icons right now, the show is dedicated to Tim Schafer and his works right now. Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle.... Psychonauts.

Ron Gilbert is one great guy. His girlfriend is absolutely lovely. Everybody was interesting, the conversation was stimulating.

Ron really is a nice guy. I think we were all secretly terrified when he came in that he was going to be grumpy. Puh, GRUMPY gamer? He's absolutely COOL.

It's funny, there's not a European dream is there?

That's because WE'RE AWAKE!

...An europhil Brit... That's... simply not possible... You can't exist... Unless I've touched you (or at least seen you in person), I refuse to believe your existance!

Actually, I've never met anyone in Britain who's against Europe. Maybe I've been moving in the wrong circles.
