That doesn't even look like Obi-Wan at all. The other screenshots look great though!

Cool screens, but I'm intrested in the color of the droid Obi-wan is about to dismantle, is it just me or do it's markings look kind of gold-yellow? Possibly the droid commander unit?

It's probable, but I don't think it is a droid commander... It should have more yellow marks on its body...

I thought the droid commander (judging from Episode I) simply had a yellow circle on the front of its torso and the back of its head was also yellow. Unless they changed the colors during the Clone Wars, this may be a new unit....

I doubt it's a new unit, it's probably a commander givin it's yellow markings, but they just detailed it poorly, making it's whole upper torso yellow instead of just a spot on the front, and now yellow marks on the back of the head. At least they got the color right this time though, unlike for the other battle droids.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Actually, I was thinking he doesn't look a thing like Ewan, but you get my point.

The other screens look awesome though

Well, these screens aren't from a finished product. This game is still in production so I'm sure things will change, though this is pretty cool. Now I need to fix my Direct X so I can play BF1.

Hmm... are these graphics a lot better than the Battlefront I graphics? I've only ever seen Battlefront I played live, and it was on a laptop. The textures and modelling seem kind of rough and unpolished at this point...

The textures seem a bit flat.
Like the floor on the top one.
Not that players will be looking at the floor, its the character models that count, and those are nice.

That third one still bugs the crap out of me. The x wing and the TIE are along side eachother, whats up with that? And it generally doesnt look right.

Also, not wanting to be picky, but you know, the beam effect in the second looks a bit N64ish.

Nice pics! The droid in the first pic looks wierd, but it might be like that because of the angle. It might be the Droid Commander Unit. Judging from the second pic, I guess you'll fight in space on the Pollis Massa map. Droids don't need air, and clone troopers can use extra equipment for air. They walked on a ship in space in the CW cartoon. Also, in the third pic, I am also wondering what that light thing is on top of the Star Destroyer. Maybe it's the bridge? Most likely it might be the bridge, and that'd be cool if you could actually walk on the bridge and watch the battle from the viewport.

Looking good. My only complaint is the way Yavin looks. It just seems...odd.

It is the Blaster Rifle used by Standard Battle Droids in SWBF I... (To see it, just play on Naboo, in Historical Campaign mode)

And for heat ! Polis Massa's atmosphere is cold, as in Space...

hmmm, I think this is a huge ask. A game that combines TPS/FPS, space combat and jedi capabilities is just too ambitious if you ask me... maybe possible for the next gen consoles, but current platforms/PCs ??

If only LA got off their can and make a decent space combat game in the tradition of X-Wing Alliance and its predecessors. The Rogue Squadron games were fun and did look awesome, but just lacked that depth that XWA etc had.

Still, I want to play BFII just to get to run around on an alderaanian blockade runner! I love those ships

I know it's still in production, but...

...there are vapor trails in space (last picture)? Still, looks good!

Well it cant be fuel ejection since the TIE bomber's fuselage is bracketed by a pair of solar gather panels... it has to be vapor.

I think the vapor trails are there to show that the craft is using it's speed boost. Yes, it's very unrealistic, but there aren't a whole lot of other options (though a blur effect like the speeder bike's would work nicely instead).

Well, they could have increased engine flare... not a vapor trail.

That would make the most sense. Let's get that in before release!

Such an effect would become quickly tiring for eyes...

If it's anything like the Jump to Lightspeed expansion for SWG, the vapor trails are an optical effect added in to give the illusion of traveling at high speeds, while in actuality the fighters are just creeping along at a turtles pace inside a small sized map made for FPS style gameplay & not for a true space/flight sim where the crafts can travel at more realistic speeds without running out of room.
