First time I saw it was on TV, but I forget what year it was. I guess around -86 or something. Been hooked ever since, but I do not care too much for how they have screwed up the soundfield for the DVD's on the movie that got me hooked in the first place though: A New Hope.

first time I saw any star wars films was return of the jedi when i was 6, so erm 94. Then i saw a new hope and finally the empire strikes back. A shame really the climax was ruined for me in episode v....

If there are Jedi Knights does that mean there are Jedi Kings too?
If a Sith lord kills his Sith rival, could he been seen as a good guy?
If I ask another philosophical question will I have my hand lobbed off by a Lightsaber?

WTF Dude!?! I was just getting the thread moved to the correct forum so it wouldn't be considering spamming the board it was at the time in. No need to get all mad at me man.

I saw my first star wars on TV, then soon after the special editions started being released in theaters and i watched all of them. I have been hooked since and just can't get enough of it. I watched the original films before SE and after and I read every thread of EU I can get my hands on.

I started watching star wars when I was, oh, 6 I think (1995?). I would watch the movies all the time and play with the figures with my friends. I loved it soooo much. And I still do

I turned 21 in 1977 and the bars were closed (Sunday), so we went to see The New Hope instead :-)

i was liek 7 or 8 years old..around 1987. ANH was on TV... and it was the part of the jawa's being dead... luke's aunt and uncle being vaporized..... and the cut off arm in the cantina that led me to VERY dislike the movies and frankly be scared to DEATH for the rest of the movies. i got realy into Star Trek from that age.... untill like 1994 ... at least i think it was 94... i saw return of the jedi ... and liked it.. still i stuck with Star Trek untill GL brought out the special editions.... didnt see em in the theatre tho.. but i got em on video box set... saw em... LOVED em... hooked on em. so you could say my SW history didnt start out so well.. but it turned out alright

I was like 5-6 years old, my father put A New Hope on. I can honestly say it changed my life in many aspects.

Back in 1977 - stood in a long line, with much anticipation, and was not disappointed in any way! It was like getting everything I've ever wanted for Christmas!!

*bump*

I never noticed this.

The first Star Wars movie I recall seeing was Phantom Menace on the second day it came out.

Though, I'm pretty sure I did see the older movies before that, but I can't really recall that.

Yeah, i'm like Commander Obi-Wan. Since i was particularly young, say, 4 when TPM came out, i was amazed, and a little scared by the end, it was so influencing. But i had already seen ANH, ESB and ROTJ before that.

I cant remember how young i was, probably 6 or 7, so around 14-15 years ago and I saw "The Empire Strikes Back" on TV, since then thats always been my favorite of the movies. I really got into it was when the N64 came out and we got the box set for christmas that came with Rogue Squadron, I couldnt put it down. After that it was Lego's, followed by getting my own movies.

It died out for a while though and I got into sports and other games.

Only recently ive really gotten into the storyline and started playing Galaxies, Id say galaxies and the release of episodes 1-3 were what got me back into it, and then when I worked out at the Renaissance Festival where there's a bunch of Con fans and most of the people who work out at the fair run the Cons as well, I found out that this one smokin hot chick that i know has a full Mandalorian armor suit, i swear its one of the hottest things ive ever seen, too bad shes like 10 years older then me :/

1977, in a drive-in theater, with my whole family, after having seen an interview and some trailers (space combat scene with the TIEs chasing the Falcon) on a late night show called Creature Features a few months before.

It was not called Episode IV back then.

Sadly i did not start getting into the movies untill after III came out. I was 14 when i saw it. So i saw a little sad when all my freinds were lining up to see it at 12:00 in the morning and i was not a part of that. A few months later all 6 were ON DEMAND and i watched them from 1-6 (so it would make sence). After that i have been crazy about Star Wars games and movies.

I saw ROTJ in the Cinema in 84 (UK release) I was only 3 at the time so I dont consciously remember, but as soon as I could get them on VHS following that I watched them every day for years. Then when I got to High School I fell off the Wagon and started chasing Girls/highs until TPM came out, then I gradually built myself back up in to a Super fan again
