Kilifa's ears twitched. She thought she heard someone calling.

"I believe there's another late cadet," she informed everyone.

Sarah, getting no response, jumped off the platform. She could see a ladder on the other platform. "That was easy." She climbed up, and stared at the large balloons floating slowly around in an endless void.

For a moment, she had a vision of falling forever and maybe dying. But the teacher wouldn't let her die, would he?

She waited for the first blimp to come by and jumped on, shivering. When it met the other blimp she jumped onto it, nearly falling off. As soon as it got to the other end of the chasm she jumped onto solid ground, shaking.

She looked up, and climbed up the stone steps, going on with the course.

Kilifa shook her head. "I just have very, very good hearing." She called for quiet, listening for voices. "She's not too far away, over yonder. I can't pinpoint where. This might take anywhere from five to ten minutes, maybe less if she's good. Do you want to wait? If we go ahead now, she won't be far behind."

Kilifa watched Jake bounding ahead. She sighed, hoping that whoever was behind would be alright by themselves. And she hoped they could find this passage. Kilifa hesistated a moment before lighting a nearby bush on fire, as a sign for the late cadet. Then she hurried to catch up with Biblical and the others.

Sarah looked around where she was and up at the really big guns. Really, really big guns. Shooting stuff.

"Ah..." She fell down backwards.

Right into the pit.

"GYAAAAAH!" She closed her eyes, ready to die, when she fell a rather odd sensation and suddenly she was back at the strange ledge with the guns.

"Wow, I'm alive!"

Sarah nodded at Rifty. "I fell down, but I didn't die. Is that normal?" She brushed herself out, dug in her beltpouch, pulled out some gum and started chewing it. She ran forward and jumped, catching the ledge and starting to shimmy across and ignoring the guns.

Kilifa grinned. She used to walk across tightropes for fun. Floating platforms? A cakewalk. She skipped across them, throwing in a few flips for effect. After they had made it across, she said to Biblical, "Yeah. We good. Do you think we're almost there?"

Sarah got to the other side of the chasm, and jumped down, looking at the stone wall. She picked up a rock and scratched a message on the stone in angular letters.

"SARAH WAZ HERE"

She then looked at the trampolines. "So I have to bounce up there? Fun!" She started doing so.
