Problem with editing .git files always seem to throw off the cutsceens cameras?

Problem with editing .git files always seem to throw off the cutsceens cameras? i even started over from the base 303nar.git file and just added 2 doors and not the rest of my modifications and it still throws off the cutsceen camera, why? if i do no editing to the gif and just move the original gif file into my mod folder and make it a .mod file all cut sceen works. all i have to do is change/add 1 item in in be it doors or placeable object and it messes up the cameras.
thanks for any help.

From what I understand, the GFF editors will corrupt the camera entries in git files. I believe tk102 made a tool to extract them to keep them intact for editing... check the Tools Page. I believe tk102 made his KGFF Editor specifically to not corrupt the camera entries... you might try that program as well.

I hope this helps!

As RedHawke said, you'll need to use KGFF instead of the Bioware GFF Editor. In KotOR Bioware introduced two new types of datafields in the GFF format which were not present in Neverwinter Nights, which the editor was made for.

The placeable cameras use both those field types (one holding camera orientation values and one vector holding the camera position), and since the GFF Editor doesn't recognize those fields it will not read them, resulting in them being stripped when you save the file. KGFF has support for both those field data types and will let you edit them as well.

This problem is most obvious in GIT and minigame ARE files, but there are a few other files that uses one or both of the Orientation and Vector fields as well, though which ones escape my mind for the moment. Opening/saving those in the Bioware GFF Editor will result in similar data corruption.

I have found if you have a copy of NWNEditor as well you don't run into the camera's getting messed up.

So that means there are actually 2 GFF editors that work for this.
KGFF
&
NWNEditor
