It looks like it's possible, either with Beryl or 3D desktop

Yeah, Beryl works with two monitors; one giant cube or two normal cubes.

I saw the actual original painting at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. This image of it does not do the actual painting any justice, but it still makes a great desktop background.

Finally got the ****ing skin to work.
Get Tweak UI here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Use it and go to Desktop and turn off the stupid little arrows under each short cut.

Then go to desktop properties (you know, by right-clicking) and find the advanced tab and turn on large icons.

You may or may not want that last part on...

Ubuntu 6.10 running custom 2.6.20 kernel, latest nVidia drivers, and Beryl. God it's so smooth.

EDIT: Anyone know if there's any way to make all the panels fit in with the Beryl theme?

Get a new GTK 2.x theme.

I'm using Neutronium at the moment.

Well, I'm still waiting for my free copy of Vista and I'm on the fence about switching my upstairs compy to Ubuntu... can I share folders with a Windows machine with Ubuntu?

If you want to share folders between ubuntu and a windows compy over a network, yes.
If you want to share folders between an ubuntu partition and a windows partition on a hard drive, yes.

Agreed, that game was very interesting... Music was the most prominent, it's been carved into my mind for life.

*Hums songs like Birthday Cake, Funky Dealer, Butterfly, Aisle 10, Concept of Love....*

*Stops humming and changes song on Zen from the Ocean's Twelve OST's "Raising the Building" to JSRF OST's 'Oldies But Happies'.*

*Brain explodes*
