Post transfering the datacore

I know this is not the right forum but I am desperate. Please forgive me.

There is a family mission where I have to transfer the datacore found in a storage container to friend.

How do I transfer the datacore to the other guy? We are at the Liberty and everything is safe and I drop it but he just sits there. I cannot finish the mission until he picks it up. Is there some command I have to give?

Thanks,
Smitty

I forgive you, but I'm still gonna have to move this to Player Strategy. Check this post out there.

Target Emon's ship (The Andrasta) and dock with it. Mission over.

Yep, he doesn't pick up the cargo after you drop it, you have the data core on board with you. So dock you're ship with the Andrasta like garyah said
