I am completely stuck on this mission. In it, you have to hyper twice and protect the Y-Wings who are disabling the Corrupter, a Dreadnaught. Maybe I am a poor pilot, but I can't deal with 8 TIEs coming at me, even in waves of two or more. I always burn up all my shields very quickly, and die halfway through the battle or less. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Keep the Y-wings between you and the TIEs until shortly after the TIEs launch. This should cause most of them to attack the Y-wings. Then go and blow the TIEs ASAP. If you need a good way to practice try this: you in a T/D against 18 novice T-Wings. 5 min. timer. I got 37.5 of them. If you can come close you can probably get the TIEs fast enough.
Another way to avoid most of the TIE's targetting you (you always get a handful that will anyway) is as soon as you hyper to the last area, (and after you have taken out the escorts) target and destroy the Dreads engines. This will also by some time for Storm unit to board before they are in range of the bombers that will target them.
