I had a kickass Toshiba Satellite Pro until quite recently...
Basically, nothing good will come from those entry level laptops youve linked to. If you want a laptop that will handle gaming you need one with a 128 or 256 grafix card. Nvidia and ATI both ship mobile cards of these sizes, but they are damn expensive.
Plus, they guzzle so much power that you cant really use them on the go.
My advice to you - learnt from experience :
*If you really need a laptop for school/work, those entry level ones are fine
*If you want to game, stick to a damn desktop - they are
-Upgradable
-CHEAPER
-easier to fix and maintain and find parts for
I had my laptop on a business lease with extended warranty - if I didnt have that I probably wouldve had to have shelled out up to $3000(almost as much as it is worth) to have gotten the CPU and drive and fan replaced...
Dont bother - seriously
