Simple Model Viewer won't open

I used to have this on my old Windows XP machine which worked, now that I have a Windows 7 laptop it won't open. Anybody know a solution to this? I tried running it in compatibility with Service Pack 2 and still nothing.

Thanks.

Don't mean to double post but has anybody had this happen before?

I've never had this particular issue. I ran it in XP compatibility and it worked fine. Maybe try service pack 3?

As I recall, it had something to do with needing the redistributable package for one of the .NET Framework things from Microsoft; I think 1.1 or 2.0...
