About Coruscant
Do you guys have any idea how Coruscant will look? Or for that matter how you will fight on it, since everything is high up? It would be pretty hard for those AT-ATs to manuever in that type of terrain. :P

I think during the demo installation you see some screen shots of what I think is people fighting on Coruscant. They seem to be fighting on quite large roads with large buildings either side.

Yep, the pic when you are installing with the AT-AT and the AT-ST are on coruscant.
But this is just me guessing

Coruscant is multi-leveled, so I assume you'll have to fight on the top-most level.

That would be impractical for AT-ATs, but then again, go fiction .

There might be areas on Coruscant that aren't accessible to large vehicles like that, then? THat would be interesting... having urban combat where only infantry can access some points.

Um........how does that help? All we see is the planet from orbit from an earlier (pre-gold) version. That doesn't tell us anything about the terrain or what gameplay will be like there.
Personally, I think that, as the demo installation showed us, that there will be area wide enough for the big stuff. Hopefully not too many though

I beg to differ. That looks totally like Coruscant. The last screen that shows the skyline is very reminiscent of the Prequel trilogy.

Now thats Coruscant!
The way it looks ingame is as if it only has one layer when Coruscant itself goes down miles and miles.

As I said, it looks reminiscent of the SKYLINE.
I think it would be impossible to do a Multilayer Coruscant. Many new vehicles would have to be invented, to bring troops up and down, and generally it would be taxing for you to go through each layer and try to coordinate through all layers.
I am happy with one layer on Coruscant, at least there IS a Coruscant,

Coruscant not only had that sort of Landscape it had a number of Plazas we see in Ep VI after the Death Star is destroyed.

In a strategy game, it's hard to avoid making a huge cityscape that doesn't look like Core Prime. I think they did a fine job within the RTS framework.
Though the ability to scroll through multiple levels (a la X-COM) and have units go up and down stairs or ramps to switch levels would be pretty cool...add a new dimension to the battle (pun intended)!

How can we be sure the image posted by star wars lover isn't that of another industrialized planet like Fondor, Nal Hutta or the others?

How can you be sure that I'm not George Bush or Tony Blair?
btw, I don't really like the Coruscant portrayed. It needs more 'visual' depth, rather than just having a pov that makes it look deep.

ok my opininon is that this screens are of some other city planet, but not Courascant.
this is more likely to be a screen of courascant, infact i'm shure it is:
http://www.eaw-fr.com/modules/view_screen.php?n=2848
And you see this is a totally different screen from the ones posted by starwars lover, because on those creens you can see that the buildings are sword of sunk and on this screen they are not.

I agree that the EAW-fr website shot is one I remember (but had forgotten). It's hard to say that that isn't present in-game. After all, that's a perspective shot and the Corsucant map is fairly complex even from the builds we're seeing. I'd be honestly shocked if Petroglyph didn't make Coruscant spectacular when in Cinematic mode. But they also place a high economy on having very mild system requirements so that most people can play the game. It would be hard to have both, but who knows what tricks they are mustering

Hah!, it seems my french class has paid off, I read that french text straight through . I don't know what so special about the French images, but my opinion is that sources for screenshots, videos, etc are spread around in different ways. For some reason, some countries get exclusives before others(take the three videos on the spanish site just posted a couple of days ago). If those Frech images or otherwise represent the "final" Coruscant, then I'm in for it.

I admit it would be cool
But it would be a Pathfinding AI nightmare, tryin to get little groups of troops up stairs and not get jammed up would be very frustratin and annoyin.
