If I click any of the links in the user control panel, then I always end up in my CP again. I'd say because the links appear to be somewhat messed up.

Nope. You most probably won't.
I think I happened to be victim of some kind of update to the latest release of the Mozilla Firefox browser. That, or I have drugs in my system.
However, I cleared the cache and removed all cookies -
et violine, it's working fine again.
