Smon's Official Guitar Hero Thread-Bwo, bwo, wahhhh widdly widdly wao!

Mostly made just to show off my new Grim Ripper avatar.

Discuss the great game.... now!

I'm done putting links in my signature because every time I do it just links to some old crap I've long since stopped updating.

I only have to beat Cowboys from Hell on expert until the sweet, sweet battle axe is mine.

My favorite song right now is the extra song Guitar Hero.

What's yours Smon?

I am going to revive this thread for one guitar hero reason and one guitar hero reason only.

I FINALLY BEAT COWBOYS FROM HELL ON EXPERT.

Ok, that's all.

( If you think this doesnt sound like much of an accomplishment, go look up a video of someone playing cowboys from hell on expet on youtube.)

(If that doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment try actually playing guitar hero.)

Those of you without Guitar Hero can now experience something similar!

...

Those of you with Guitar Hero can now play Dr. Worm on it!

Sounds interesting. I've heard a lot of good press on it but never actually played it. My video game budget is a little...low right now.

You know. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a PS2 instead of an xbox.

I mean, I could have kingdom hearts and guitar hero, but no Halo or JSRF....

I think it's a fair trade cause halo roxors.

I know how you feel. I'm actually just going to pick up my friend's PS2 so I can finish playing KH2. I use to have all three "current gen" consoles but...my gamecube broke (I must have the only broken one in the history of ever. X-play did a whole segment on trying to break the darn thing and couldn't do it.) and my ps2 was attacked. Now I have X-box as the only buffer between me and video-game dispair. Oh, how I will miss you Wind Waker!

It's an accomplishment the size of Russia, I tell you what. Most people, their first try on that song, never get past 8%.

You know, I told a friend about this the other day, and my friend thought of something... Isn't there a chance there's a mirror on the wall in front of him? I mean, he may look like he's doing it with his eyes closed, but with the quality of the video, its impossible to tell if he's squinting or something.

I can't wait to play Freebird!

Cool.

The following tale of alien encounter is true and by true, I mean false. Its all lies. But they're entertaining lies, and in the end isn't that the real truth? The answer is no.

I just got back from a trip to Washington D.C. to visit family. And my cousin has a PS2, and guitar hero. So I finally got to expierence it. Here's my story.

First of all, Grud you are the greatest person evar.
secondly, I compleatly sucked at that game. I wish I had a PS2 so I could get better.
thirdly. The song Get Ready 2 Rokk is so awesome. I also loved Even Rats, Infected, Thunderkiss 65, and Take me Out.

Eh, but thank you none the less.

By the way, GH2 and GH3 should be coming out for: PS2, PS3, Wii, and X-box 360 at some point.

Question! They have an American Idol game now, I guess it's like Guitar Hero, only you sing instead of rock. So how's the game know how good you're singing? Seriously...

Yeah, I got a guitar. It's not hooked up to an XBox though. But I'm still a hero.

I happen to be a Karaoke Revolution nut, I love the game. Played original and then.. well, lost it, picked up the American Idol version a while ago because my mom just had to pay an extra $10 to hear a british musician who composed for wrestlers and Power Rangers criticize her.

The game only reads pitch, not tone or words. So you can essentially pass any song by saying AAAAaaaaAAAAaaaaAAAAAAAA. But that's no fun. But it made my family drop a turd when I got a high score on "It's the end of the world as we know it" with that technique.

I wanted to get The Kareoke Revolution games, but I don't have my report card money yet, and that's going towards an iTunes card, DDR Ultramix 3, and other random browsing crap at the mall.

I've been playing DDR like crazy lately. I play it before my mscot games and get beat, than rest on the ride there, than get pumped! I'm finally past beginner mode and can play on light mode decently. I get a lot of C's, but a lot of B's and A's too.

Additionally, I'm working on modding my guitar to be all ZZ Top style with the spinny guitar on the belt, anyone know the best way to go about doing this?

Store sanwiches in it? Or is it sand-witches. Why would a witch be in sand? Or a better question is, what does sand have to do with witchcraft? Oh, an even better question is: if I slap a cow in the woods and no-one is around to hear it, will it give me CHOkOLATE MILKz!>!>!!?!!!

...oh, I see where you're going with this now.

No, way too much jagged plastic and not nearly enough lube.

Also, a guy wants to buy my Gamecube and I will use my money to buy a Flying V wireless double fret guitar and a skin.

Which skin? I'll find a way to decide...

Wooooww...

I pity you and your efforts to obtain a non Hoarmoniz guitar controller.

From everything Ive read about the controllers, your experience will either end in tears or manslaughter.

Well, he didn't buy it so I'm not getting it. D:

But, I got the 360 version of GH2 and it rocks. Like every webcomic out there is making a comic about it, not the point, point is it's awesome.

This is the last time this thread will be revived I think, soon Rock Band will come out and replace it and be AWESOME.

I would personally like to thank Guitar Hero for introducing me to the awesomeness that is the band freezepop.

Also, I bought Kareoke Revolution the Friday after my birthday. It made me learn that I really SUCK at pitch. But I've managed to win almost every bonus character.. :/
