He's not my personal fave... Bird is... but I dig the animation to the piece. It's a cool idea. I'd like to see it done for other songs.

I personally think the song is actually fun to play,... (although I truly suck at playing over changes... especially these ones.) It is just an exercise. Not really musical.

The story is that Coltrane got his ass handed to him at a jam session when soloing over the bridge of "Have You Met Miss Jones" (which are the same changes to Giant Steps, although in only 1 key, and a lot slower tempo) so he went home, wrote Steps, and practiced over those changes for a year or so. Then he needed more material for a recording session, so he pulled out this song.

You can tell the piano player never heard the song before. He gets totally lost and runs out of ideas before the end of the solo.

Gotta love cover songs, especially if someone is covering Slipknot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_w0iN_xG0U

The song is almost perfectly synced with the video, and yes. It's in Finnish.

Daa dirlan dirlan daa. Finally Slipknot is doing actually good music. And it reminds me of TPS too. So it's all around good
"Koitappa sitä muumia jonka sä viime kerralla ryssit"

More awsome Finnish culture. All Finns and Swedes should remember this match no matter how old they were back then:

Also, a great Pulp Fiction parody:

"Our posturings, our imagined self-importance,
the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe,
are challenged by this point of pale light.
Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark.
In our obscurity – in all this vastness – there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

Great song, but what the hell is up with this music video? This song is used in anti drug skits, but clearly somebody was using some sort of drug in concept.

this one is my favorite so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj3xZijK8Os probably seen by everybody here or it was posted already its the mario one

and this guy needs a darwin award for not looking both ways before crossing the street, and not crossing the street at a crosswalk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNVnWwzMxRE

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

My group's senior project. took about 2 quarters to get this working. Basically it's a cart that follows a user from a transmitter the person carries. The transmitter pulses out a signal that the sensors on the cart receive, and those activate the motors so that the cart follows the user with a fair amount of accuracy. the cart also has an accelerometer on the top, so it can sense changes in the leveling of the terran like if it goes up or down a hill, and thus extends or lowers the linear actuator so that the top stays level while it goes up or down.

here's a vid of it following me around
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nswvWA3tPgk

and here is the actuator at work. we lift up one of the sides so that it simulates it going down a hill, and you can see the actuator activate
