Stuck on Leviathan (KOTOR1)

Hello, I've been a longtime reader of these forums, but I've never needed help until now. I'm currently on the Leviathan, on the control deck to be more precise, and I'm simply stuck. I have the spacesuit I'm supposed to have to go out of the airlock, but I cannot open the airlock door.

I looked at a couple of walkthroughs, which I hate doing, and I Googled the problem for about an hour, and haven't found a solution. Can anyone help?

You'll need to take any weapons you have equipped off your PC (and I think the other characters too).. basically un-equip them from your weapon slots..

You might have to equip the space suit as well.. though I can't honestly remember if you do or not..

I've actually found that having your items on or not has no effect, since they're removed once you leave the airlock anway. As for how you can't open the door, it's locked at first. You have to ram it with the nearby droid, unlock it with a computer, etc. before you can leave.

If you've wandered around the whole level, killed all the bad guys, collected up all loot and datapads off dead guys and containers, and investigated computers, droids, etc., then I'm wondering, if nothing's working, if it's a glitch. In that case, going to a previous savegame might solve the problem. When I had a ton of mods installed, occasionally I'd come across something like a cantina door that should always be unlocked that suddenly had a bash/unlock option on it. I found if I ignored the unlock/bash buttons and just hit the door control anyway, it opened.

Thanks for the quick reply guys. I ended up stripping all my characters down to their skivvies, and that did the trick. Go figure. Jedis in their undies, how heroic is that?
