In the DS ending, when the screen pans away from Malachor V, what's that bright yellow thing? Any1 have any ideas?

A nebula, a cloud of dust, gas, and plasma. It's something not unique to science fiction.

The whole story of the game wasn't exactly Star Warsish. And I really didn't mind. Great story.
Anyway, OT, haven't really noticed it, but I wouldn't really think too hard why it's there. It is just there. |

Malachor is in the Outer Rim, a younger section of the galaxy. It's far more likely to find a nebula nearby than a black hole, planetary nebula, white dwarf, etc. Even Star Wars has to conform to the basic laws of the universe.
And as Sabre said, it looked pretty.

It has to mean something, the camera focuses on it - it's not just there in the background.
It could represent the unknown regions.

That's quite optimistic and very obsevant of you, but I doubt it.
When/if the next installment of this game drops, I'm not sure many people are gonna remember the final, dark sided cut scene from TSL.
...yes, it is very pretty though.
