Interesting...but, negative.

Question is still open. Its so corny, it should be easy! (Of course, I guess it always seems that way when one knows the answer.)

My question remains:

Who played for both England and France in a soccer match on the same afternoon at Wembley Stadium?

@Obi-wanrules -
1) They could make a raft out of trees
2) They could swim when crocs have moved further down the river
3) They could attack the crocs
4) I don't think i've ever heard of a river containing crocs before...

Yes

You enter a deserted house late at night. Inside there is an oil lamp, a gas fire and a stove full of wood. You have only one match however, so which should you light first?

At noon and midnight the hour and minute hands are exactly coincident with each other. How many other times between noon and midnight do the hour and minute hands cross?

Yeap, 11.

In the basement there are 3 light switches in the off position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on the floor above. You may move any of the switches, but you may only go up stairs one time. How can you determine which switch controls each light?

^^^That sums it up, so I won't post the longer version of the answer.

You walk up to a mountain that has two paths. One leads to the other side of the mountain, and the other will get you lost forever. Two twins know the path that leads to the other side. You can ask them only one question. Except! One lies and one tells the truth, and you don't know which is which. So, What do you ask?

You ask one twin "Which path would the other twin point to if I asked him to indicate the correct one?". If you asked the truth-telling twin, he would know his brother would lie, and so would point down the wrong path. If you asked the liar, he would know his brother is honest and so would again point down the wrong path in order to trick into taking that path and getting lost. Knowing this, you'd know that the correct path was the one that neither of them pointed to, so you'd take that one. I remember a similar riddle in an old Doctor Who episode, Pyramids of Mars.

My turn....

A man stopped his car opposite a hotel and immediately knew he was bankrupt. How?

@D'Albetot - You could also ask them what colour is the sky. You will tell immediately which one's lying.

@King Dando - He owned the hotel and it was completely burned down?

No, if you ask one of them what colour the sky is, you have used up your one and only question. Great that you know which one is lying, but you still have no clue which path to go down

.....And no, thats not the answer

But in the question he said you don't know which is which, so what do ask? So I was assuming he ment how do you find out which is which. Plus i've heard one like this only it added in the question you have to follow the path the truth teller is covering. So, yeah.

Damn.

You are driving a bus which already has 5 people on it, at the next stop you pick up 5 people, at the next 10, at the next 15 etc. The bus can carry a maximum of 110 people. What is the name of the bus driver?

Whatever YOUR name is, since you are driving. That kind of riddle really only works very well in spoken format. Far too easy when it's written out in front of you.
