What SW era has the most potential for future stories?
What era of Star Wars do you feel has the most potential for future stories, either comics, novels, games, TV shows, etc.? What era has most room to move and has the greatest background setting? What era needs the most filling out?

Any of them from Rebellion and before. I haven't read anything further, so I'm not sure about the future of the NJO series. I think around the Old Republic and the Dark Times, but I'll go with the Dark Times, since I want to see what happens there.

This vote was tough.
Rebellion Era (Ep4 - Ep6) - I have allways enjoyed this era in novelization. I am such a Zhan fanatic. Plus, I believe he is the only one who can write for Jade, Fett, etc... I haven't found too many other writers who can capture these characters in true form.
Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR Games & Novels) - I would like to see a Revan and/or Bastila novel. Even though the comicbook is out there, I don't think it can capture in detail the world of KotOR.
NJO Era (between Ep6 and start of LOTF novels) - NJO is probally the worse series ever.
Prequel Era (between Ep1 to Ep3, Clone Wars) - Grrr... I personally want the prequels to dissapear.
Dark Times (between Ep3 and Ep4) - If it has nothing to do with the prequels, and if there is no mention of prequel events, I would be interested in this time period.
Just my thoughts.

I'd say probably Old Republic.... or maybe I'm just saying that because I want there to be more KotOR stories. Who knows, right?

I liked the part after ep 6 when the Imperial warlords were causing bunches of trouble. I would LOVE a book on Pellaeon - he's got to be the most interesting Imperial ever.

I'd like more fleshing out of the time between NJO and LOTF.

Any era between the eras that the films take place in. I have a fair amount of knowledge between those time periods. So, I would, at least know what the general topic is. And the stories would just expand my knowledge, there on.
Possibly the Old Republic era. I enjoy the games that were created for that era.
Otherwise, I wouldn't really care for what happens post-RotJ.

The post ROTJ eras probably should have been split into New Republic (Ep6 to before NJO) and then NJO+ (for NJO to Legacy).
I like all of the EU, but I'm looking forward to what will happen in the future (Legacy+)

I think the Legacy Era has the most potential. It has so much more flexibility than all the other listed areas in terms of new characters, stories, settings, cultures, philosophies, etc.

Again I think the Legacy Era has all the background of the six movies plus all the EU done before it to draw upon. There are so many ways this era can go.

Old Republic Era followed by the Dark Times between Eps. 3 and 4. Sounds like we'll get some more details for the Dark Times when Star Wars 2007: Force Unleashed goes gold. But there are a lot more and bigger holes to be filled for the Old Republic era.

I think the legacy comics has the most potential since there is so little material out there for it. But I think the Old Republic era needs the most filling out. Theres a lot of history covered in the KotOR games from the times of the ancient sith lords, but theres no real stories or games on that period.

Dark Times would be cool. But KOTORish times are "the best" because no direct connections to individual characters of the films are necessary. Hence the characters and storyline are untethered from the constraints of having to "fit canon" while still having a great narrative.

Before KOTOR through to the Old Republic Era. There is just a lot of grounds for great stories.

1. Kotor, is, without doubt, the era with more freedom for new stories and plots
2. Dark times, have an indeed fitting name. I would like to know about it too.
3. Anything about the history about the Empire' Remnant would be cool as well.

The Legacy comics definitely have the most potential for future stories for obvious reasons.

A tie between Dark Times, Legacy times(the comic era not novel) and pre/post kotor series.
Sorry but I really hate people to define how the REAL Revan/Exile/etc is, it is enough that we know Revan is a canon LS(male to be exact) and Exile is LS(female, which is unfortunate since Ebon Hawk is now contaminated with the appearance of a disgusting stalker perv jedi-fetish desciple) PLEASE no more detail definition. Pre k1 era would be nice, especially when it comes to the rise of Revan. Post kotor era would be coming in the form of kotor3, well, eventually. According to the most recent LA report it will probably be named along the lines of Jnights of the Old Republic: Return/Revenge of the Gizka Empire.
Dark times would be a nice stage for small time stories, but please no grand story about super jedis and the 17283423 jedi Master survivors. But ti would be nice to see things like padawans living a new non-jedi life help people in other ways with their skills rather than force spamming and glowstick swinging, and things like that.
The Legacy series in the comic is cool, New pace new characters! Its Star Wars without being Confined by Star Wars.
The Legacy Era in the books can only be so fun... and I wish they would stop it after the Jacen incident, and probably finish it soon(in terms os Star War Years) I mean, maybe some people enjoy seeing Jade going thru her metapause and Han being slow with his gun anf Lukc can't get up and artoo in monster garage and fast with "other" things and Leia wrinkled up like a yoda and Lando shaking it up as Alzimer... I am perfectly fine remembering them as Legend from the eyes of people some generations later. Yes, Grandpa Bobba sneaking out of the Old People's Home doing his Parttime Bounty Hunting in his Wheelchair and Driving his Rusty Slave I SLOWLY aling the highway... NO THANKS.

KotOR era, it has the most room to move without hurting the canon material of the Skywalker era.

I'm a KOTOR person all the way all the time.
Working so, we will learn history as a tree knows it; we will climb into shapes printed in the seed; we will become time made visible, years made fragrant; we will make of concentric memory a stem of praise; we will inhabit daylight at a trees own speed; we will be travelers who remain, patriots to this ground.
