Lighting Shape

Hi,

i already searched the forum to find an answer and nobody seemed to have a proper answer. I was wondering how i can create a light that is falling through pillars as in the ceremony hall at the yavin academy sp map. I know it's necessary to create a brush and a certain texture. But which one? And how do i place the light entity?

aah got it. someone gave the hint at another thread. the texture is common/gradient. I'm a little disappointed though. It was supposed to be a decent feature, but it looks a little too overstated :\

well, you should have a shader that uses the gradient texture, and not just the gradient itself. altering this shader or writing your own might provide an effect closer to what you envisioned.
