Is Gaming Due For A Crash?

http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/crash.html

This is a really interesting article. While it might not be true that gaming would collaspe, the points he make about games not being innoviate enough to get people to play them is true.

Guess this is where the great stories of KOTOR come in to add the innovation. It's the one of the few reasons I play games any more...

I don't think it'll crash anytime soon. Not with there being a new game console coming out every 6-8 years...think about that...enlistment terms are 6-8 years too. lol

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

As long as the gaming industry makes money, gaming will continue. D&D's been going for 30 years now and people have predicted its decline for years.

From MST3K's spoof of "Hercules Unchained"--heard as Roman medic soldiers carry off an unconscious Greek Hercules on a 1950's Army green canvas stretcher: "Hi, we're IX-I-I. Did somebody dial IX-I-I?"
