Exclamation Seen it: TRANSFORMERS

I just came back from watching TRANSFORMERS... and I'm here to put all of your fears to rest. It is an extremely decent movie. It does have some cheesy moments, but they're either drowned out by something hilariously funny or by the intense action itself. A well crafted movie and while extremist fans will have SOMETHING to complain about, they shouldn't because this is a very decent effort to bring them to the big screen. I was extremely fearful of what I was going to see but my worries are all gone. Well done to everyone who made it, you've won over this Transfan.

Now make a sequel that's at least just as good. Don't screw it up, you've got a good thing going here.

damn right. Thats prob the first time we gotta something so big early. I watched it a few hours. IT WAS THE S**T!

I expected nothing coming into the movie, but within a few minutes, i was hooked, and it was like i was 10 years old again with a giant grin on my face during the whole movie.

My respect for Michael Bay has increased.

AUTOBOTS ROLL OUT!!

no, it's more of a psychological drama about the inner psyche of the transformers. in the trailers when Bonecrusher smashes into the bus, it's symbolic for his hatred for the autobots.

Protip: Stay for the credits, you'll all want to see something in it.

Oh and when I was watching the movie, there was this uber geek who was sitting next to me XD ...man, he was so tense, he was literally clutching his seats arm rests through the entire movie and not moving an inch. At one point I had to give him a sidewards glance just to make sure he wasn't experiencing a heart attack XD

Yeah, it was decent, not more, not less. The first half dragged on a bit, but the second half was better, albeit a little too Micheal Bayish (although that is to be expected right?).

Still, the giant robots did make it an automatic awesome.

I did like that
spoiler:
Megatron was a good, old-fashioned evil villian. He wasn't just misunderstood, or too focused on something, he wanted to enslave and annihilate mankind, build a grand army, and take over the world. He rips his enemies in two, flicks innocent bystanders around, and just plain mean. Hugo Weaving does an excellent job with a really really dark voice (on the few lines he has).

Actually, I was glad the first half took it slowly, built it up and set things in place, without it you wouldn't be able too sit back and enjoy the second half as much. There were a lot of hurdles to be crossed to make the whole giant robot concept seem right for those who aren't familiar with Transformers like a lot of us are.

spoiler:

or was there something more?

8pm on the 2nd, actually with the first full day of the release being the 3rd. I've already got my tickets!

Reaction seems to be extremely positive so I'm really expecting something awesome, at this point.

One question: does any or all of the Transformers have the G1 transformation sound, like Prime does in the second trailer?

I don't know why, but that is such a big thing for me...

Ya they all make the noise when they transform.

I saw it last night and it was just awesome. I'm easily going to see this movie two more times this week. I'd have to say it's now after the Star Wars Trilogy as my favourite movies of all time.

Don't worry Prime, it's the transformation sound is there just like it was there in the first episode of the original series, perfectly done too and whenever you hear it it brings a tear to your eye XD

I saw it for free (Friend organised a party thingy at one of those luxury theater private sessions)

The dips and bread served were the highlight for me... I was suprised to see no evil Nazis in there, since Spielberg had his mangy claw involved in this flick...

But Ive never been a Hollywood fan, apart from what GL does...(who is actually pretty anti-Hollywood if you think about how he's made and financed his films)

so, bring on Indy 4...my next visit to the cineplex. In the meantime, I'll stick with the freaks and art students at the arthouse/foreign film theaters

I saw it yesterday at 12:30. Never really been a transformers fan or really into transformers (only transformers I've watched was the beast wars transformers series a few years ago and i really liked that) , but the movie was awesome. Very glad I got to see it at the theatre. The movie is pretty Non-stop action all the way through, and that's how i like my movies. I didn't watch much after the credits so i guess i'll see that when it comes out on dvd.

next movie i cannot wait to see is The Bourne Ultimatum.

also the preview to that ping pong movie had me lmao

I saw it Monday night at the 8:15 showing. It was highly enjoyable and I wasn't let down.

When you said stay for the credits, I didn't know if you meant what played right away during the credits or if there was something after them all so I wasted my time sitting through all the credits to find nothing. xD
