AI turret/pilot problems

Hello,

I am trying to find a work around for these problems:
- AI fighters and spacecraft turn instantaneously and in a jerky manner (probably when they get far enough from their waypoint roots)
- AI turrets do not fire when they "have the bead" (ie. the AAT's main cannon is always turning 90% from its target and seems to pull the trigger randomly)

Any ideas?

Is this on your own level or all of them?
It's beyond me. Perhaps the people at gametoast.com would know.
