Coast-to-Coast in under 32 hours 7 minutes

I'd like to see everyones thoughts about the Real Life Cannonballer and his quest to break the coast-to-coast speed record. The article is a lengthy read, but well worth it.

Rather unwise of them to let the cops know about it ahead of time, don't you think? Every state trooper and county mounty is going to be on the lookout for them.

"They should rename the team to the Washington Government Sucks. Put Obama on the helmet. Line the entire walls of the stadium with the actual text of the ACA.
Fix their home team score on the board to the debt clock, they can win every game 17,000,000,000,000 to 24. Losing team gets taxed by the IRS 100%, then droned."

They've already done it at least a year and a half ago, so that the statutes of limitations have expired and the cops can't come after them.

have a suggestion for the lf poll? pm me

Well it isn't recognized as an official record attempt. Start and end points are different, so the new "record" isn't the same thing. Still an impressive show of speed and preparation.

How do you figure that the start and end points aren't the same? And the only reason that it isn't going to be in the new Guinness Book is because they would "as soon down a cold Budweiser as verify an illegal act." It is verified legit by 3rd party witness, GPS, toll and gas receipts, and time coded video. Check it here...

Helpful!
That is a nice BMW, I have to say, but back on topic, that is a long way to drive in a pretty short amount of time.

I'm just going on the start and end points of the Sea to Shining Sea record. This was not recognized by the one who came up with the race(meaning Brock Yates), and the start and end points are completely different, so this is not the same record. There was no previous record of from the Holland tunnel to Santa Monica pier. The start wasn't in the same garage that the prior record holders started at, and the end point was not the hotel they ended at. Therefore this is not an officially recognized attempt at the same record he was attempting to break. That said, it was still an impressive time for that distance. BUT it wasn't a Cannonball Run attempt.
