damn, that's alot of money for a weekend's worth of work....

boring day at work. just boring. well, aside from one bit of excitement, a customer demanded to see a manager because her pictures could not be found. someone told her they would be there friday...that someone didn't pay attention to the time the lady had the pictures sent out. after 2pm=they go out the following day. i explained it to her, but she wouldn't take it from me, and she didn't have her claims ticket...that's about as exciting as my job gets, well..tomorrow and monday should be great, got some corporate peoples coming in.

Really?

Huh... that's just for the one day. I'm getting an additional $400 (give/take, depending on O.T.) fee for tomorrow's shift too...

I've earned a lot more than that for a day's work, though...

No... but I really wish I could.

Actually... I could probably live with a shirt and tie, and maybe even the sports coat,.. IF I could get away with jeans underneath. edlib just doesn't roll in slacks (or even Dockers...)

Daily Recap:

Oh, sucky day...

(And that's pretty much it. Sums it up nicely.)

If I'm lucky, I'll fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

If I'm really lucky, I'll die in my sleep overnight so I'll never have to face a day like this one again.

Well... good night, chaps.

Wish me luck. Lotsa luck...

You need to get yerself some skillz and move on up in the world, son.

Trust me: There are days I feel insanely overpaid for what I do... and then there are days like yesterday, where I feel like I'm not earning nearly a fraction of what I should be.

So I guess it all evens out. (Though if it evened out better in my favor, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed...)

Hey: It's a Youtube clip from one of those pain-in-the-ass concerts I mixed last year.

well that girl i've been trying to contact via myspace has read my 2 messages. no respond, and friend request is still pending. damn.

but, at least she read them. *shrug*

going to work today..1-9. fun. i might download the new maps and stuff of GRAW 2 when i get home. It is a damn shame that Turok's multiplayer thing sucks. Glad i bought it for the single player stuff.

I took 2 tylenol to help with toothaches i've been getting. hopefully i have a decent day at work today.

thinking about how much other people make and comparing it to what you make is nothing more then a pissing contest. It is your life and what you do with it. But seriously, there isn't much opportunity to make real decent money without getting a good collage degree. In fact, because of the current corporate mentality they don't want to train, or apprentice anyone, they want people with pieces of paper to jump into jobs and save them

That's 'cuz it's our taxes paying you in the first place.
To re-tax it would just be weird... (though not outside the realm of possibility.)

Work was weird today. Everything was weird today.

But it will have to wait for morning to elaborate.

Gotta get up early for trash... and I think I'm starting to get sick, so I better catch all the rest I can.

I am part of a deep freeze right now. We are getting an artic blast that is going to follow up with some more snow. Looks like we are going to break our record for snowfall this season.

lol, get a dog. :P

it's freezing here as well. 3 degrees.

got some GRAW 2 time in...controls are a bit tough getting used to after playing Call of Duty 4 and Turok. I killed some people with my M468 on shoreline though, though our team lost, i came in second place. I'm going through some of the quick missions on the easy difficulty for some achievement points. I LOVE the explosions in GRAW 2.

workin 10-6 tomorrow. after that i'll probably be playing video games or chill out at my parents' for a while and get caught up on 24 season 3.

I NEED to decrypt that email in Double Agent tomorrow. Think I'll look at a guide and see how it's done. it's like a freakin rubik's cube, except with numbers instead of colors. -_-

i play way too much video games....

I am sick. Goddammit.

I might call in to work to see if someone else can mix the show tonight and try to rest up today and blow this thing out in 24 hours.

Crap. I thought I might actually get by this season without actually getting ill. But then, spending all day Saturday in a place where every surface I was coming into contact with had only been touched by 4 or 5 thousand people before me, and those people mostly schoolkids... and after short sleep and high stress... I'm somewhat not surprised.

After I do trash this am, I think I'll get in touch with my boss and just head right back to bed.

Can't afford to get sick now... blah.

That's a pretty common daily high where I live... We've had week-long cold snaps this year that hit -30F.

I remember one night a couple of years ago my band got together and jammed in a small unheated building in -50F... Between body heat and 3 tube amps it started to warm up a little, but it was still friggin' cold. I had a full set of thermal underwear, a long-sleeve t-shirt, a hoodie, and a winter coat on.

Cold ere too. about 8*F when I woke up. Not looking to heat up anytime soon either.

Doing some work on some actual careers so I can hit up school for them while I am young. Working minimum wage is not fun, and I'm quite tired of it. Time to get my ass in gear.

Of all the days I have to actually go into the office, it has to be the one that has testicle-freezing blasts of negative degree winds and frostbite-inducing temperatures.

I hate Mondays.

Cold here too... but someone is covering my shift tonight, so I'm not going out if I don't have to.

Got some more sleep, and I feel a tiny bit better. Nowhere near 100% yet though. Not even near 50% yet... but much better than I did at 5 am this morning when I first woke up.

Gonna have a little tea w/ honey, and maybe a cup of broth... and then see if I can't sleep some more.

I'm a little pissed about the weather... We were supposed to have a big storm come through yesterday and today, but in the end we only got about a little over a foot. I was really looking forward to the local ski hill getting a big dump to cover up the icy patches I noticed on Friday, but no such luck.

Spent most of the day sleeping, off and on.

Being sick + no caffeine = uselessness.

Would have been nice to actually get something done while I had a day off... or at least do something fun at home... but no. It wasn't to be.

I am planning on dragging myself to work tomorrow, though... unless I wake back up in the morning feeling worse than I do right now again.
At the moment, other than just a general feeling of blah, all I have is an annoying dry cough.

We will see...

So what reminds you of a Clarks movie? I mean, besides we're just sitting around telling ourselves that we'll improve but continue to keep the status quo.... which by the way is keeping the country stagnent.

Oh, one day I will get off my ass to actually do something. Mark my words.

AND IT WILL BE GRAND!

Mmmm... poop joke. Classy.

Feel a little better today. Gonna try to make it into work... though I'm sure I'm going to keep the day as short as possible. Mixing 5 back-to-back bands tomorrow again.

i'm having a bad day so far. trying not to think too much about being forced back into my parents place cause i won't be making enough cash to pay all the rent, utilities, car payment and insurance. i'm also pissed off that i don't have a car today. i am so ****ing sick of moving. now how the hell am i supposed to have any respect for myself. i do not want to move back in with my parents. damn it. their place is too ****ing small and they would piss me off too easily over little **** they get all worked up over. i feel as if my life is falling apart and everyone is making my decisions for me and i have no control of anything.

though, out of this mess comes an opportunity. i won't have to worry about my sis, as she's practically moved out anyway, so i can join the army. granted they waiver my RE3 code. I looked over my line scores on the asvab test results, and i scored over 100 on the skilled technical, so i'd be able to get the information technology specialist job i was looking at. hmmm.....

Half day at work. Slow and casual.

Still not all the way back down the road to healthy... but I've felt a lot worse.

Hopefully all will be better by the time I start work tomorrow. The show will most likely be more than miserable enough without being ill on top of it.

The plan: Hit the sack early tonight, and try to get myself back to fighting trim.

5 inches of snow hit the ground today while i was watching 24 season 3. it's still falling.

I think i'll wait until my parents get back from their vacation before i get into contact with a recruiter. i know its what i want to do, and I have held it off long enough and now that I got the opportunity i should just grab it.

I got a phone call from the dealership stating that i could go get my tracker...

apparently my sister doesn't give a rats ass about her cats, cause they are meowing and starving over here and refusing to eat dry food. im so pissed at her for that.

i am coming down with a cold, so tomorrow may be a convenient day to call off and focus on some ****.

Um...wow.

OK, so I had an eye exam tonight after work. The guy is an old family friend, so we're catching up a little, right? And he says, "Yeah, your sister dropped by a couple weeks ago. So she's expecting, huh?"

What. The. ****.

Apparently everyone knows about this except my mom and me. So, I go for an eye exam and I find out my sister is pregnant. Wow.

Obviously I have an obligation to beat some ass, Old Testament style, here, but...wow.

Of course, it is entirely possible she was lying about the whole thing. She lies about stupid crap all the time. Hell, some years ago I saw a classmate of hers in the grocery store, and she said, "Hey, so I heard your sister is opening for R. Kelly!" It turns out she was just going around telling people she was opening for R. Kelly. So maybe this isn't true. I hope it's not true. It better not be true.

just looking over what i'd need to do to pass minimum bct and ait standards for the pt test. for bct, i'd have to run 2 miles in at least 17 minutes and 30 seconds, ait standard minimum is 16 minutes and 36 seconds. pushup reps for 2 minutes, i have no problem doing, 31 for basic, 40 for ait. situps are a bit tougher, as i have nobody to hold my feet to the ground, except for this storage chest i can use. i need to do 43 in bct and 50 in ait. I'm glad i can knock out the pushups, those are very easy. if the ****ing snow would disappear and temp would go up 30 degrees, i'd start training for the run.

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

Went to bed early last night... woke up early too.

Gonna be a looooong day.

Oh well... should give me plenty o' time to wake up and get out there and clean up all the slop that fell overnight.

Keyan: That's troubing news. I do hope for your sake it's just your sister seeking the wrong type of attention by telling fibs.

But to lighten the mood a bit...
If I were you, I would have edited my post to start this way:

mechanic got back to me about the tracker. the muffler is fixed. he's keeping it a bit longer so he can check out the transmission fluid, as he said there appears to be water mixed in it. so he's gonna get that taken care of for me.
