i was bored and did some research and found out how long the girl is deployed for. I also got her mailing address off a church website, she's with the 3ID as a truck mechanic, and has been in iraq almost a year.
this information only took me like 40 minutes to dig up. all i used was her first and last name.

Tired tonight. I won't be staying up late tonight... which is a good thing, since I have to up again by 4 am at the latest.
Work was pretty chill for the most part.
A bunch of my co-workers got brand-new Intel iMacs. Sexy.
The biggest problem I can find with them is that they are Macs...
Still... I'm more than a little jealous.
I decided to take a hand-me-down year-old Mac laptop to replace that ancient iMac I'm dragging along with me now.
I was offered a different iMac, one with a big screen, and a lot newer than the one I'm using... but by all appearances that one is a dog. It has been repaired and rebuilt a bunch of times in the last couple of months alone... and even more in it's lifetime.
It's always seemed to me that when you get a good Mac, you get a pretty rock solid machine.
But when you pick up a bad Mac... you get a REALLY BAD Mac. They don't seem to have just little problems.
I decided against it. Didn't want to be saddled with that potential albatross around my neck.
My current machine is old and slow... but it works fairly consistently. (Still crashes a lot more than my 8-year-old home Windows XP machine. Probably on at least a 10:1 ratio. Something I can't get any of the rabid Apple cultists I work with to believe... but it is the truth.) I'd much rather stick with that... but this laptop I've been offered seems pretty reliable, and all the specs are double than what I'm using. So I guess I'll give it a shot.
We are supposed to be on track for all new comps later this year anyway. And a laptop could have distinct advantages.

grrr i'm STILL stuck on that mission on CoD4. i even restarted it from the beginning. there's too many damn grenades being thrown around.
i'm almost through with my gallon of orange juice. still feel a little weak, i'll probably go shower then lay down and watch some tv.
the girl didn't reply to my message on myspace. o well, i don't really blame her. i did state that i liked her and had a crush on her in the message. i probably should not have done that. o well, whatever.

That's usually never a good idea, in my experience.
Although I don't know why... if a girl I know suddenly came up to me and told me she had a crush on me, I can be pretty sure I'd be totally psyched. I'd LOVE it if someone confessed a crush on me right now!
But I guess it's not good for guys to do.
Doesn't seem exactly fair... but there you go.
We have our evolutionary ancestors to thank for that imbalance I guess.

No, if you are interested in someone it's best to be upfront about it. It's the honest thing to do, and you won't have to waste time wondering about it. It's probably best not to call it a "crush" though, since that sounds...kind of stupid.

Well... That's kinda what I meant.
Guys saying they have a "crush" sounds a bit fruity. For a man to say that comes across as way too desperate, and maybe even a little bit scary to some females.
But I've personally never been able to find a really good way of saying that in other terms.
Finding the delicate balance of expressing interest and attraction, without confessing too MUCH interest and attraction... and being the creepy, needy guy.
Or, conversely, holding too much back, and being too casual about it, and coming across not really interested enough for them.
And trust me: I've been searching for that magic "Goldilocks" zone for a long time,.. and yet I never seem to get it right.
And it is also something I'm really trying to get correct at the moment. One of those "personal" issues I mentioned about yesterday that I was going to attempt to do something about, but ended up far too bitch-slapped by life in the end that day to trust myself enough to ever do properly.
And yes... I am awake at 1 am. Went to bed too early, it appears. I have to try to get another hour or 2.
EDIT:
3:30 am. Never got back to sleep. Bloody Hell.
Oh well... no mad scrambling rush to get out the door for work now, I guess.
But I'll be awake well over 24 hours before I get a chance to get back home and sleep again.

Yeah. And at least now it's out in the open.
Maybe she's just too busy to respond right away... or taking her time thinking a good response.
Don't give up hope yet.
If you have a humidifier: crank it up.
If you don't: put the biggest pot of water you have on the stove and let it boil for a while. Get some steam going in the house.
It will help with the throat and sinuses.

Niner: I don't know how much more specific you want me to get. Reason being is that I personally did not oversee construction. Rather, I got luckey because one of the computer associates at BBY was selling his PC rig (what I own right now) for $1100 USD. If I had built it myself, it would have cost me about $1500 after taxes and software.
15: No, being upfront is better, let's your intentions known pretty quickly so she can either say no or go "AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...... (Insert random female hidden meaning statement)" Avoids confusion.

Slut.
First time I've sat down since 7:00 am. I have a minute or 2... then it's back straight thru till midnight.
Tomorrow I get to sleep late. I don't need to be until 10.
But then I probably won't be leaving here until well after 4 am Sunday. So it all evens out. Or something.
$2500 extra on my paycheck for the agony, though. Just gotta keep telling myself: "HDTV... new PC... HDTV... new PC..."

i'm annoyed at my parents right now. they're practically forcing me to move back in with them. well, **** that. cause once i move back in, they'll be trying to control every ****ing aspect of my currently pathetic and useless life.
on top of that, my ****ing tracker's transmission blew the **** up on me today on the way back from getting groceries and crap, so i'm without a vehicle for who knows how long. -_-
i'm also STILL sick, the gallon of orange juice didn't do much, i'm through another half gallon and still feel the same. i got this 'vix 44' crap and that's not doing much good. the sickness has worked its way down to my throat and chest.
another thing that's pissing me off is that it's ****ing snowing again. what the ****. i think i'll just call off work. i don't have a vehicle to get there (though i can get a ride in from my dad or landlord probably), and i need a full recovery before i go back to that depression hole. i already called off once, should i risk another call off? hopefully they fix my car and it stays fixed. i can't stand being held on a leash by my parents, don't get me wrong, i love them, but they always go too ****ing far, which causes me to feel insecure without them. i think i'll go watch my national geographic channel and try to forget about the ****. =\

1. Last resort is going back to parents.. like any bird who is in the nest and comes back.. they will get sat on
2. Is it possible to get a job closer to home base where you dont need a car, and can save up? Otherwise, hopfully you can get the car fixed and it will be only a temporary problem

HDTV... new PC... HDTV... new PC...
Dear God. I am really ****ing tired.
Feel like ****.
But I'm still alive... though I'm really debating internally if that is really such a positive thing after all.
Oh yeah: HDTV... new PC... HDTV... new PC...
The nasty, dry air at work took it's toll on me yesterday: I have a nasty, dry, hacking cough again.
Plus I ache all over. Ran the 2 flights of stairs from the stage to the upper balconies up and down at least 50 times yesterday.
Now I get to do it all again... though this time: it's for realz!
So in conclusion:
HDTV... new PC... HDTV... new PC...
Ugh.

Last night I had about 3 areas in my back that were sore. Mainly form all the sweeping I have been doing with curling in the last few days. I just noticed my Latissimus Dorsi have bulked up enough that they are interfering with my arms hanging down.
Spent the night with a heating pad under me, and everthing feels a lot better. But I am defiantly going to be getting a massage next weekend

27 is not old.
When I was 27 I could do (and very often did) a shift like the ones I'm doing now without ever feeling it... or at least anywhere near as much.
37?
Better to not talk about it...
But try to have a rockin' birthday anyway.
Now that you have a lady friend it can't be all bad... can it?

not really, every place around here wants roughly the same amount for rent. and not only is it that i wouldn't need a car if i moved closer, i'd still owe $4,000+ on it, just another reason why i am pissed off at my parents, for prodding me til i went and got myself screwed into a ****ing debt-hole. should've went for the car that was half the price and had twice the mileage.
as soon as this illness goes away and i get my car back, i'm going to call the army recruiting office and get things going.
managed to download the kodak software so i can transfer pics off my digital camera! i regained a little strength by getting up and moving around, washed the dishes and ate a bowl of wheaties.

most recent picture i took of myself, with my contacts in

the tracker

Running late.
The doors just opened for the 2nd show, which was supposed to start, well... now. The show is an hour and a half long. Maybe a bit longer...
Puts us back to wrapping everything up about 6 am by my estimation.
I hope I'm wrong and it's earlier... but looking at all the stuff we have to get done, and how exhausted everybody already is,.. I think if I'm wrong at all, I'm guessing too early.
But more overtime money for me. That's good I guess.
I'm pretty sure I'd give it up for sleep at this point, however...
Plan for tomorrow: Hibernate.
Hopefully not get sick.

Awake again. Ugh.
Wondering if it's better to attempt to catch up on sleep all day and try not to get sick... or to force myself to stay up all day now, and give a heroic effort trying to get my sleep cycle back into some normal rhythm.
Haven't decided yet.
I guess it will all depend on how hard I crash later. Thinking I'll go decaf today. That might just make the call for me...
