You all fail.

You never leave trace evidence, especially on the great interweb.

And why has nobody hired me?! I'm a goddamned Ninja. You want someone dead, you call me.

God, you people couldn't put a proper hit even if you were given the guidebook, and someone slapped it across your faces!

Haven't you been keeping up with this conversation? We don't want someone dead, we want to help 15 accomplish his goal of saving someone's life. He wouldn't stand a chance against a ninja. Duh

Uhhh... I kinda actually want someone dead.

Work was amazingly dull.

Chris Botti's band rehearsing for a show they are recording for PBS with the Boston Pops @ Symphony Hall later in the week.

YAWN...

It's extra money, plus overtime... so I really shouldn't bitch too loudly...

Same thing today, too.

Another mind-numbingly boring day at work. Ended early though... which is good and bad.
Good: Less dull hours in my office waiting for it to end while my brain melts into cottage cheese.
Bad: No $45/ hour overtime for essentially sitting on my tookus.

It's now 4:30 am... and I'm wide awake listening to The Beastie Boys.

The world has gone either very wrong somewhere... or very right.

I can't decide which. It's way too early for that.

i never said i would go out of my way to save someone's life did i? =P

was up til like 4:30am this morning on swg...turning into a roleplayer...lol

went running yesterday think i did about 1.5 miles before my ankles started to hurt. i ran the 3.5 in roughly 40 minutes. should've drank a no fear energy drink before i ran, that is the one energy drink that works for running.

Rock Band 2 is awesome.

Too bad my roommates suck at music/rhythm games and can't play it to save their lives. GOD.

On a plus note, I'm improving my coordination by instead of playing the guitar parts, the drum parts. OOooohhhhhhhhhh.... *spooky hands*

You fail if you cannot do all of the above and sing on pitch at the same time.

Work yesterday was OK. I just had to cover for someone else for a few hours while she took a class. No pressure. My kind of day.

I'm awake again at 4:30. This I could do without.

Oh well: go in to work early; come home early. (But at this rate: Go to bed REALLY early... )

When I was in Bath in July, there was a guy on the street playing the violin and had this machine that let him play the guitar with his feet. He had like a pedal to control the strumming with his right foot and he could sort of push a button with his left foot to control the chord.

Hmmm... that's interesting. I'm very curious about the mechanisms that would require; I'd like to see how that worked. (Though it seems there are far more practical ways to get accompaniment these days...)

Work was OK. Vocal auditions all afternoon. Easy.

Ate a late lunch, and helped my friend set up a huge color laserjet printer in his office.

Came home, and fell asleep immediately. Just woke back up. Think I'll have a light dinner, and read until I drift back off.

Though I do want to download the "Force Unleashed" demo from XBox Live... Probably won't bother to play it tonight even if I do, though...

I saw previews of forced unleashed and I am not looking forward to all the pimply kids who will think Galen is the most powerful Force user ever. Even tho it is a game that relies on over the top Cinematics to sell.

Tim Zahn had a really good comment about the limit of "power" the force would be moving Lukes X-wing from the swamp. all the movies stay true to that limit

Maybe...

But, hey... it's a new Star Wars game. One I'm actually somewhat looking forward to; and one that looks like it doesn't totally suck.

Not sure if I care if it falls into proper "canon" and the rules and logic of the rest of the series.

I just want to be entertained.

At this point in my relationship with Lucasarts, I guess I'll just take whatever I can get.

In other news: I managed to stay asleep past 4 am this morning. That is: until my cat figured out that the upstairs part of my house still has carpeting. Apparently my bedroom just became her litterbox.

At 5 am, she woke me up scratching on the floor beneath the desk in my room. I had to get out of bed and clean it up before it totally soaked in. Talk about rude awakenings.

She is now on probation. A couple of more incidents like this, and I'm going to bring her to the shelter and not look back. I really don't want it to come to that... but I'm at the end of my rope here.

The local shelter doesn't euthanize... but if they are honest about the reasons she is there, she'll probably never get re-adopted, and have to spend the rest of her life in a cage.

I don't really wish that... but I also don't want to spend my every waking, non-working minute cleaning my house, either.

I thought that once she was going outside that this nonsense would end. And it really looked promising for a long while too...

Dammit.

The Force Unleashed looks pretty lame. I predict extremely repetitive gameplay and so-so controls. Story and playing with the Force powers for a few minutes might be good for a little entertainment. But it's going to be no X-Wing, no Jedi Knight, that's for sure.

That's why I'm checking out the demo first.

I even had the box in my hands at a game store yesterday, but I couldn't bring myself to actually make the investment sight unseen.

I've been burned before...

It was OK. (Wasn't hot enough...)

Downloaded and played part of the F.U. (heh heh heh...) demo.

Eh... it's OK.

Looks really nice. The physics engine is spectacular! Cameras are a bit weird (reminded me of Bounty Hunter... and I HATED the camera in that game...)

Game play could get a bit repetitive, as Keyan thought. If it weren't for the force powers, it would be just a standard hack & slash. "Kill everybody you see, all the time..." in other words.

However: I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point... But I'll wait for the price to drop.

good day at work today. somewhat. had a nice talk with my assistant manager. i wish that policy which prohibits me from fraternizing with management didn't exist... I wish i could just switch my "safeties" off and have at it like i have nothing to lose.

i'll just go do random stuff on my days off (sunday and monday)....i want to go take some pictures so tomorrow gonna go throw my sd cards onto a cd, clear them and go out and get some nice pre-autumn pics. maybe. or i'll do something else. anything but staying "home". well, guess i'll download my pictures onto my computer, and tomorrow do the cd thing and clear em. this way i'll have a copy if the damn computer breaks on me.

Spent yesterday training our crew... which is now almost 50 student employees.

Getting a bit unwieldy.

After the training, we had a cookout at work. Then a couple of us just kinda hung around, shooting the **** for hours, until we all got hungry again, then went to the pub down the street owned by one of the guys from the Dropkick Murphys. (Damn good food...)

Today: Take the air conditioners out of the windows; Put a door back on the foot of the stairs leading to my room so the cat can't get up here anymore; and get some much overdue exercise.

Spent the morning doing chores around the house. Got a lot done... even more than I would have anticipated.

After lunch, set out for a walk. Kept going until sundown. At least 12 miles... possibly closer to 15.

Feet are sore and tired, but it's good.

went out with my friends today, watched as they replaced my one friend's brakes and rotors. that was funny as hell. at least they did it right. then we headed to a restaurant, i had some clam chowder...kinda ruined my stomach. i didn't eat it all.

going to new jersey with them early tomorrow...my one friend has an interview down there, so we're gonna drop him off and head to the beach for a bit, then pick him up and go to new york city. i never been there, so that should be interesting, hopefully fun.

that one girl i was interested in a while back somehow got a hold of my aol instant messenger screenname...i haven't seen her in a month, she said she moved and quit walmart, and then she proceeded to ask me annoying questions, like if i had a girlfriend, if i was looking for one, etc...stupid ****. -_- i deleted her number out of my phone last week...glad i did. thinking of blocking the screenname too just to be a dick...but probably won't.

got my 2nd piece of heroic jewelry in swg tonight. i need to complete the IG-88 heroic encounter once more and i'll be able to get my 3 piece special.

was at walmart today, got my memory cards onto cds and wiped em so i can take over 600 pictures now.

got my vehicle registration renewed and decided to do my address change while i was at it. next step is getting a damn inspection sticker on it. need freakin tires...and i'm too lazy to fix the freaking rust.

Well, it looks like with the Recent working I have been doing I might be able to buy a real relatively up to date computer. Looking to get and play Fallout 3 and Diablo 3 when they come out. So i need a comp that can handle the graphics with ease. For once I would like to have a computer that enjoys doing eye popping graphics instead of dreading it, or going comatose.

I don't have the skills to build it on my own, and I would like to have some support in case the magic smoke gets loose.

So can one of the XWA geeks here help me figure out what I need, can afford, and were to shop (like dell?) I am looking to spend about $1500 for a complete system

Better yet, e-mail me at warlordkinnison [AT] hotmail [DOT] com

Slowish day at work. A couple of projects off the list... but not much accomplished overall.

Walked a bit afterwards... but it now gets so dark so early. Damn you the tilt of Earth's axis and the orbital rotation of the planet around the sun! You have ruined my exercise regimen for yet another year!

Oh well... I needed to get home and do a load or 2 of laundry in order to get through this week.

That is what I am doing at the moment... in addition to drinking green tea, and watching Alice Cooper and Beck concert footage videos On Demand... in high definition, no less.

Does life get any better, I ask thee?

Oh... and by the way to all you oh-so-smug gloaters in this thread: One single victory or loss does not an NFL season make (unless we are speaking, of course, of the Superbowl, that is...) There's still a lot of games left to play before playoffs...

Y'know... Jus' saying.

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.
