okay... i think the bad stuff is over.. a run down
The game I was suppose to run is a bust, 2 of my players drop out in mid game to play another one
Saturday evening I find my car windshield is covered in Loogies.. seems the Soccar players in Illinois don't like cheeseheads.
At 12:30am while I was about to go to sleep in the Hotel the people next door turned up their TV so loud I could understand the dialouge. called the fornt Desk and after 15 minutes it was turned down.... to be promptly turned back on at 7:30am thus ending my sleep
While leaving hotel I stepped in a pile of Dog poo
Another game I was suppose to run in the morning is a bust.. end up playing another game
I seemed to be ignored by many people there, one was even rude and interupted the conversation I had with pictures of her cats.. kinda stupid concidering the pictures were on a miniplayer that has a 1 1/2 inch screen.
Tried to get into another game and was rebuked, rudely by one of the players.
Left
Almost got driven off the road by a driver.
WHile arriving at a toll booth I was cut off
While leaving a toll booth a semi almost ran into me in the merge lane
Come home to find the heat isn't working
The On switch for my computer broke.. had to short it to fix it.
no cat no word.

Sorry, K.K.... sounds like you picked up on one of my kind of weeks.
So far this week has been tolerable... if dull.
Slept right through the night last night. Was asleep by 7:00 pm... didn't wake back up (except for maybe a half hour in the middle of the night) until almost 9:00 am this morning.
Guess I needed the rest.
Still feel pretty worn down, and I think it will be a quiet evening at home.
I'm actually feeling a bit depressed at the moment... but there doesn't seem to be any particular reason to pin it on. I guess I'll just chalk it up to continuing exhaustion, or the change in the weather, or both...
Work was (well, technically still is, since I'm still here...) boring again. Another day I could have (and probably should have...) taken off without anybody missing me.

yeah especially after having to use evasive action twice in a 48 hour time frame on the highway...on saturday night on the way home i was following someone, suddenly they take a sharp left turn, and i am face to face with another car...i am like 'holy ****!!!' take a hard right, avoiding collision. crazy! then yesterday i was driving my mom to the post office, on the way back someone stopped with no warning, the person behind me didn't appear to slow down...so i was like '**** you guys' and took my vehicle down the median, getting blown out, passing the truck and car in front of me, with my mom in the car i was like 'f that ****' i wasn't too mad about the people in front of me but the person behind me wasn't slowing down despite my brake lights so i had no choice...
in the mood for Halo 3 tonight, so later probably going to play that. I was playing a little yesterday, I forgot how insane the single player part of the game is. I miss playing online, i wish i could find my damn headset.
I've been adding a few women to my aol instant messenger. trying to make some friends and if more comes of that so be it. i've been using the 'browse people' feature on myspace within a 50 mile radius of my zipcode.
i'm bored on my vacation, can't really get away from my parents, which completely defeats the purpose of this vacation (and why i don't mind working long hours sometimes). next time i go on a vacation like this i'll be at my own place.

I have nothing to add to that,.. except that perhaps the guy in the long-term, apparently stable relationship should perhaps think twice about the advice the rest of us lonely lovelorn losers choose to give him...
Bought some CDs after work today in a feeble attempt to pull myself out of this funk with sheer, blatant capitalism.
I got:
The West Side Story soundtrack
XTC - Mummer
Peter Gabriel - 1; 2; 3; (the 3 "title-less" albums...) and 'Security'
Steve Howe - Beginnings
Peter Green - Best Of: 1977 - 81
Most of these were used, and all of them were under $10. Got 8 CDs for about 70 bucks.
Now I just have to listen to them ... and then try to find somewhere to keep them!

so after like 5min of google searches, i found my former 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade classmate on a video making a fool out of himself.
yes.
it's derek bradley, aka dancing derek.
yeah, i've known him for THAT long.
i owe him a couple of punches in the face for making a fool of himself, not once but, twice on national TV.

I feel your pain.
Tried to finish Halo 2 tonight. Failed.
Still stuck on the same level I have been for weeks now. I'm so close to the end I can taste it... but there's this one room I can't seem to get past.
Oh well... try again tomorrow.
Played a bit of Halo 3 SP instead. I was better at that. Didn't get very far into the campaign, though. I kept playing the same level over and over, ramping up the difficulty settings until I was having my ass handed to me at every turn.
Hopefully, suffering through that a couple of times will give me the skillz to bust through this Halo 2 frustration.
But for now: Snack; reading; then sleep.

Can't sleep... yet again.
Great. There go any gains I made by catching up on rest the other night.
Working late tonight, too. Maybe I can nap for a bit later before work... but I doubt it. I'll probably just be spending the day tired.

got a little far in halo 3...i won't spoil it for you ed. lol
decided to hook xbox live up, though sucks because i STILL CANNOT find my damn headset. i didn't do too bad i guess. but then i was playing ranked match. i forgot how fun halo 3 multiplayer was, despite my friends complaining about 12 year old kids calling them names. After a few rounds, i am like 'hmm..' and put in Bad Company. The funny thing is, there's not really a way to test out the maps before you enter, so i was like 'ok...' it's alot of fun. I'm taking a liking to the M24 sniper rifle.

Show was easy, but long. Ran over 15 or 20 min. Bleah...
Had an almost all green, still wet-behind-the-ears, newbie crew to work it, too. That made things go far slower than they should've been. Frustrating.
Oh well... short day today, taking tomorrow off.
This may be the first Halloween I've actually had off in decades. Seems like I always work that night... and then have the most surreal subway ride home.
Oh well... I'll save a weird trip... but then I'll miss seeing scads of young, college-age women roaming the streets of Boston dressed in the outfits of various "slutty" professions... I.E: a slutty nurse; a slutty cowgirl; a slutty nun; etc...
Hmmm...

Eh... somebody has to be here to hand out handfuls of cheap candy so that surly teens who didn't get a treat don't egg and T.P. the **** out of my house and car.
I don't think mom is up to it this year. She hasn't felt good all week.
Maybe I'll put on my Vader mask and cape when I answer the door.
Besides... riding the subway surrounded by a crowd of gorgeous, scantily-clad, drunken college girls that I know I'll never get, watching them hanging all over their total-choad-meathead-jock-of-a-boyfriend who is grinning 'cuz he knows he's definitely getting REALLY lucky tonight, (and that she'll probably keep her costume on while he is...) tends to make me a bit bitter and unhappy.

I've already finished Halo 3 once (on Co-Op...) but I'd like to go back and re-do the whole thing myself on a higher difficulty level,.. mainly to get the points and awards, which went mostly to my friend who was hosting the co-op missions.
I'll probably do the same thing for Gears of War one of these days too.
The main reason I switch to H3 these days is to play something that is similar to H2... but that wouldn't interfere with my progress in the H2 campaign. Give me a chance to work on some skills and make progress, then hopefully go back to Halo 2 and kick ass.
Well,.. that's the plan, anyways.

plasma pistol follow up with battle rifle=WIN. that's all i gotta say about halo 2. lol
i got a call for a job interview at a life & casualty place, they left message on voicemail. this is like 4 days after i posted my resume on monster.com...
ed, make your next 360 purchase be BAD COMPANY. the multiplayer is ****ing insane. Plus, if you go around knifing people, you collect their 'dog tags' (a list of names you've knifed, it's pretty cool) lol. plus controlling tanks, choppers, artillery, mortar fire, etc. it's freakin brilliant.

Hmm... I'll think about it. I REALLY have to get through some of the crap I have before I buy anything new at this point, however.
Today, in summary:
Slept late (well, 8-ish,.. LATE for me...) since I didn't get in until almost 1 am.
Quiet day at work. Lunch was the highlight of the day.
Got home, watched the news, a little bit of Mythbusters and South Park, and am now thinking about reading a little before I try to catch up on some of the sleep I lost last night.
Taking tomorrow off from work to run much needed errands, and be ready for Trick-or-Treaters. Well,.. plus there is the fact that I am spending both Saturday and Sunday all day at work (2 nights of Joan Baez) and tomorrow is really my whole weekend off.
I could go to a party tomorrow night: But you HAVE to go in costume (and I don't really have one...) there's a pretty steep cover charge, and it doesn't kick off until after 10. Plus: it's in a part of the city where there's no parking... and I've decided there's no way I'm gonna get on the subway tomorrow (out in public on a Halloween night that falls on a Friday in a college town?!?? Surely, you jest...) even under threat of pain or death.
I think I'll give this one a pass this time.

lol i might go out tomorrow. my friends wanted to, but i dunno my parents will give me **** for it and i really don't want that.
my plans for tomorrow are doing a massive amount of laundry, going to the gym, and playing video games, possibly going out to a club, but like i said...and i have no costume, though i could make one it would kinda suck. i do have the mask from the movie scream. what i wanted was an NBC combat suit...but that would be too scary, and i would wuss out on wearing it lol.

Probably just gonna have a quiet evening handing out candies to trick or treaters, and hitting on hot moms at the door.
Oh wait, I live in Rochester, Ugly capital of New York State. Never mind.......

Slept as late as I could this a.m. (actually made it till 9-ish, this time...) got up, did some errands around the house.
Headed off to the wholesale club in the afternoon to pick up much needed supplies (especially candy, which I realized I had none...)
Ended up filling my cart to the brim, and dropping a bundle of cash. Oh well... I should be stocked up for a while.
Got home, and prepared for an onslaught of kids that never really came. A couple of dozen at most... but far less than I expected.
Now I'm finding I'm home, and bored, and faced with a disgusting excess of undistributed candy surrounding me that I must fight to resist...
So to keep myself occupied, I thought I'd put together a special Halloween 'Witch' song themed classic-rock Youtube video playlist for my Facebook page.
Here it is:
Jethro Tull - Witches' Promise

The Eagles - Witchy Woman

Donovan - Season Of The Witch

Rush - Witch Hunt

I kept getting calls to go out to that party. I hear tell it was pretty epic: fog machines... laser lights... lotsa HAWT costumes...
Couldn't do it though. I really had no costume to put together last minute. Perhaps if I had more than a couple of hours, or even a maybe a full-day of head's up, perhaps I might have been able to... but I doubt it.
I don't think I was in much of a party mood. It just really didn't sound fun to me at all yesterday.
5 a.m. and I'm awake. Blah. Only working until midnight tonight... gotta try to get a couple of more hours shut-eye...

Sad day at work.
Found out Thursday that one of my co-workers who I have been working with for almost two years passed away. He was 22 years old. Not sure yet how or what happened, but I am at least going to the visitation tomorrow after work.
Damn shame for someone that young.
Life is short, don't let the small stuff ruin it for you

wow that is young.
i went squirrel hunting with my dad this morning. i shot at a squirrel that was in a tree 60 feet up...somehow it didn't die when it fell out of the tree, landing on all fours paralyzed i guess. i went for the headshot, somehow missed the brain and blew off most of its throat and it was still living. i won't go into any further details but damn, and after thinking about it for a while, i realized how damn desensitized i am. i didn't even feel THAT sorry for the thing. maybe i need help.
work was boring as expected, the only thing i dreaded about going back. that and the one person that nobody gets along with is gonna be there tomorrow. yay. i hope she puts in her 2 week notice...but then, she'll just get replaced by another useless piece of ****, just like the last person she replaced, and the one before that...
gonna go dload the new bad company maps. there are 4 of them, all free!!!
Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

squirrel = Tree rat
I wouldn't think twice about killing one. But then I am not one to shoot small defenseless animals.
Armed animals should be turned into wall texture

Work was easy.
Good thing too... since I probably only got about 2 hours of sleep, all told. DAMN YOU, OCCASIONAL BOUTS OF INSOMNIA!!!
The show was good.... though I really didn't watch much of it. Maybe I'll watch a bit more tonight.
