I feel good today.

Think I got enough sleep in the last 24 hours to last me a while.

I think I'll take a quick shower, throw on some clothes, and get out of the house for a while. Take a nice long walk.

Typical Favre (I knew him well) 3 Int. Doesn't look good for the Jets.

At least the Packers were able to help the Lions to their perfect season

Took a walk. About 3 hours. Now my legs and feet hurt. Oh well...

I think I'll take my car over to the shop tomorrow to get periodic service, as well as the recall work I've been putting off for months finally done.

If the car is finished in time, I may try to get to IKEA to get all the stuff I need for the cellar. Otherwise, I'll plan that trip later in the week.

That rhymed.

Though I am a bit disturbed the the only animal mentioned in relation to making jerky is your dog.

It leads the mind down uncomfortable paths...

Interesting.

Can it get your slippers and the paper, yet?

I had a cat who liked to get me to play fetch. She'd bat away anything I threw at her, then sit there waiting for me to go get it and throw it again.

I got tired of that game a lot quicker than she did.

Congrats.

A year without a Patriots playoff team... hmmm...

Oh well: I can console myself that with the next post, we will have finally caught up with last year's thread... with whole days to spare.

Everything else at this point is just gravy.

Though: if we all post at the rate that has been happening, we might move a significant way towards 3K in the time remaining in '08.

So: Title for the next one?

Any thoughts?

He has a favorite toy.. a small mouse like thing with a rattle inside. It started with him bringing it into bed.. then I would toss it out of the bedroom to the hallway with linoleum floor, so it slides easily and the cat can play apit of soccar with the toy. after he is done "playing soccar" he will pick it up, and sometimes bring it back to where i am.

makes it easier to play with him

Dealer service center wouldn't see my car today... so I made an appointment for 8am on Friday.

Oh well... IKEA it is then.

I am starting to get a bit stir-crazy. Time to get out of the house for a few hours...

I just dropped a week's pay at IKEA. Ouch.

But now I have all the makings of a tile floor.

Now I just have to install it...

They didn't have the color I wanted... but when I learned they were discontinuing the line, and weren't going to get any of the other colors in, I bought up pretty much everything they had.

I guess I'll just have to try to make white work in the cellar.

It will definitely brighten up that room. (But be a bitch to keep clean...)

Got a driving ticket on the way home. I started over a bit early to get off at my exit, and got cited for driving in the breakdown lane. Technically: I was... but...

The guy in the truck ahead of me started, and I just fell in behind him. We both got pulled over.

We were not alone: By the time I got my license, registration, and ticket back, there were at least 10 other cars lined up behind us.

Nice of them to install a program, then blackmail you into using the solution. (Which is probably just as bogus, and infectious.

Played a little CoD:WaW co-op.

I thought I was doing really well at it tonight... but my friend cleaned up on the points.

I don't get the scoring method on this game... but oh well... I just want to finish the campaign co-op. I'm not concerned about racking points.

ah, glad you like it.

had to turn my copy in, otherwise i'd be up for some co-op tomorrow. instead, i'll be on Fable II...probably all day...i'm starting to invest in houses. it is so damn hard to be evil in this one. in Fable and Fable TLC, the npcs other than the quest ones, did not have names. in Fable II, EVERYBODY-including the town guards, have names, and not only that, but you can GIVE THEM NICKNAMES....so uh...say i end up one day renaming everyone in a town to those coworkers and customers that annoy me at work...sacrificing people to the shadows....

but, it's hard trying to get people to HATE you, cause in order to do that...

Well: WaW is my current co-op... GRAW is my current single-player game.

When my buddy isn't online, I just fire up GRAW and try to make a bit more progress.

GRAW 1 i take it?

I only ever player (and beat) that on the original xbox. graphics in it weren't the best lol.

my assistant manager was asking me some questions tonight and found out she lived right around the corner from where i used to live (down in lititz, that small town outside lancaster)...i probably made her pizza a few times when i worked at pizza hut. small ****ing world, or is there something more? her birthday is also in january, i'm wondering what day, that would be ****ing crazy if it is the same as mine.

Weird day overall....this morning i wake up, look at my clock, now normally it's like 30 minutes ahead...well it said '12:30' so i'm liek '****!!!' gotta get ready for work at 1pm! so i got ready and well...it was only 10am real time. lol anyway, i get into work at 1...REJECTED TOO EARLY....i was like 'WTF!!!!!111111' anyway got punched in anyway...stupid home office hours...

What the hell?!

Isn't there supposed to be some kind of economic downturn? If there is, I would like to counter with the level of business that I've seen in the past TWO DAYS.

Hmmm... consumer confidence...

Yeah: IKEA was HOPPING today! Lines were huge... and people were buying tons of ****!

I, myself, put over 800 bucks into the economy today. (Over 900, if you include the moving violation... )

Granted: That was money I have been saving for well over a year for this very purpose... but still...

I'm not entirely sure if this economic crisis isn't somewhat overstated and exaggerated.

It's difficult to see from ground-level, anyways...

So they just buy whatever.

i'm blaming the gas companies for it. i like my gas at under $2 a gallon thankyouverymuch....

think the main people bitching about the "economy" is those that invested in oil and gas and such. well they can go **** themselves, i don't ever want to pay $3+ a gallon again.

oh yes, one other thing i keep meaning to say on here...someone else claimed the job for the manager position of electronics...so looks like i won't be getting a promotion any...time...soon. This means I'll still be keeping my eye out for employment elsewhere...at least i get paid a fair amount of money (for the area) where i am working, so i won't do anything to **** that up. It's just the annoying hours being cut so i'm kinda forced to get screwed over by having to be in my department 5 hours by myself, piss off the customers when i have to take my hour lunch and nobody's around to cover for it. the film processor is definitely on the way out the door...we process less than 30 rolls a day, and we rent the damn thing. so once that goes, people are gonna have their hours ****ed with some more or transferred to another area with less pay.

i could work the system too, do some research online and find out what areas have the best pay and stuff...and then move? i just don't know what i want to do.

Well, I played through The Force Unleashed. It was...not great. Graphics, art, and sound were all good. The story, cutscenes, and voice acting were great. But the game was just...not that fun to play. You have ten levels to go through hacking up enemies. It's pretty easy. There are different combos, costumes, and lightsabers, but none of that really does anything, so...yeah. Your Force Powers are fun for about five minutes, then you get bored of shocking people with lightning and tossing stormtroopers around. The saber combat is totally lame. The movement feels stiff and unresponsive. Honestly, I thought the Force powers and lightsaber combat were all much better done in Jedi Outcast, and that game is what, 7 years old now?

I'd say just YouTube the cutscenes and don't bother with the actual game.

I have yet to try it on the higher difficulty levels, though, so perhaps that forces some strategy and makes for a more fun experience.

The Firewire card my best friend gave me for Xmas bricked...was really hoping to get Firewire running on this machine so I could get a camcorder to shoot video of myself bowling.

BTW, post #2,800. :P
