found some cool stone thing in oblivion that recharges most of my enchanted weapons. it's awesome! The enemies are starting to make me use tactics instead of just swinging a sword at them. Gonna have to get more experience with the blunt weapons...too bad it's a minor skill. The bow is very good, but i run out of arrows too fast. I've got half the amount needed for that house in Skingrad. I've been refraining from using the fast-travel feature and just exploring caves and ruins on my way to leyawiin (coming from chorral). Bears aren't bothering me as much anymore, mountain lions are getting easier to take out. I want to get into the arcane university so i can start enchanting some bad-ass weapons. Trying to get my alchemy skill up as well, this way...i can enchant a mean daedric bow and dip my arrows in poison...that combined with going into sneak mode for the x3+-x6+ damage...would be freakin awesome!

The temperature is rising here....it rained, but it's very icy out. almost fell down my stairs. -_- once it's 50 degrees and up i'll get out and start jogging. Considering buying one of those cheap mp3 players that go for about $45-$50 at walmart to give me something to listen to when i start running.

Didn't do my taxes today....i may go onto the site later and see what i can do on there, from what i hear it's really easy...but i am having doubts. -_-

heh, today started with a high of 40 degrees and clam. then at about two we started getting rain, with the tempuratures dropping it turned to a bit of hail, freezing rain. Now it is 21 degrees, foggy, light snow, and windy

Temp is suppsoe to get down to -7 tonight, and the wind child is going down to -25 to -30

Nothing new of note today. Just work as usual. Slow and boring.

Still haven't sat down with Oblivion for any decent amount of time. Call of Duty 4 is just too fun.

Smile Had BETTER days...

Perhaps someday I'll finish Battlestar Galactica (The Hardest Flying Game known to Man)...

Found out today I have TMJ (which stands for Totally Messed-up Jaw, as far as I'm concerned.) I had a tooth pulled last week, and thought I was developing a dry socket infection and went back to the dentist. Turns out no, the socket isn't infected...there's just a misalignment now in my mouth which causes:

1. Plugged-up ears.
2. Jaw pain.
3. Ringing in the ears.
4. Dizziness.
5. Migraines (which I was already getting.)

The fix? Expensive partials--which I had always hoped to avoid getting whether I could afford them or not.

Enough whining. Yar. *(Burns down a French privateer. Piracy and mayhem, etc.)*

skipped gaming and cleaned out majority of the living room. took forever, but i can see the desk and the floor looks much better, and i got all my paperwork in order. (car stuff, bills, etc) cleaned up my bct video with the dvd cleaner, think i'll put it in and see if it worked.

my bottom left molar is hurting, had the one on the right side pulled about a year and a half ago. i don't wanna get another tooth pulled...having no dental insurance sucks!!! gotta work at walmart until june of this year in order to be eligible for it.

I think this week and next week i'll focus on cleaning and getting rid of tons of junk in the apartment. doing that will make it much easier for me to move out.

Have a mild form of that myself. My jaw snaps and pops loudly enough for other people to hear several yards away.

But other than the ringing in my ears (which probably has far more to do with my chosen profession of listening to loud bands playing through louder speakers...) that's the only real symptom I have...

Speaking of loud bands:

Tonight at work... yeah.

I wish my first run on the new system had been something smaller, low key, and far lower profile.

But no. It wasn't fated to be. A large rhythm section, with 10 vocalists, and horns.

The speakers sound nice... but the band's sound is so cluttered, it's really hard to tell.

High-light of the day:
Spilling most of a cup of tomato soup on my pants shortly after arriving to work. Yay.

Always fun wearing sticky, crusty, smelly clothes all day on a longish shift.

And supposedly there is (or shortly will be...) a 360 version of Galactica. I'll get it as soon as I see it.
I need more flying games. First person shooters are fine for what they are... but will never replace my first love.

PS - We need to break 300 posts by the end of the month. Almost there now. Shouldn't be difficult.

That reminds me: my inspection sticker is up in 2 days.

My car gas been running a little rough lately, too. I think I might have done something to it during one of those insane unplowed snowstorms we had.

I should probably haul it over to the dealers to get that checked out before I try to pass inspection...

Maybe next weekend.

We are closing in on 300 posts just for the month of January, which, if the posting pace keeps up, will result in a total of around 3,600 for the year.

YOU HEARTLESS CYLON BAS-TARDS!!!

*(Goes and attacks BSG X-box with grim purposefulness.)*

I might not have TMJ after all. The top came off a root canal that I had done at the same time (I know--I love pain) and I have to have it fixed by the dentist today. All of my symptoms could be caused by that root canal going south over the last few days.

Meanwhile, good news: sick day. Bad news: Less money in, more going out.
And the cylons are currently winning over there on the shelf. If only they fought as poorly as the droids in Battlefront...

Well, it seems to be having more trouble getting started each time, regardless of whether or not it's cold. I'm going to try to get it to the dealer tomorrow - it's still under warranty.

George Duke tonight.

Let me tell you: The funk is here.

Needed to get away from the board for 10 minutes though... been going non-stop since 6, after the same thing last night. I'm totally fried already... and we still have a couple hours of rehearsal/ soundcheck/ run-through left to go tonight, and doing the show for real tomorrow night.

The overall consensus is that the new system sounds amazing.

Oh well... back to work, I guess.

First I have to see if anybody has any snacks, though. It's been a long time since I ate lunch at 3.

i work 10-7 tomorrow.....today, did less than 1,000 prints on all the machines combined. not good since that means tomorrow everybody will try to get in their rolls of film and large print orders. thankfully, i do not close or open. it will just be annoying.

oh yeah, i got bitched at by a customer cause i was counting her pictures and apparently i was getting my finger prints on them. on stain resistant and waterproof prints at that. pissed me off, it's like the 3rd customer since i've worked there that has bitched about us not using gloves to handle the pictures. i should've took the pictures over to the sink and washed them, then got out my forensics equipment to prove that the fingerprints can easily be washed off. what's next, being forced to wear a hairnet so my imaginary hair doesn't fall into the picture?

Cool Guy Hair today, gone tomorrow

Rogue 15 reminds me how glad I am people can't really see what we're up to in our kitchen. Hair net? Oh, you like hair, do you...?

A customer came back to the kitchen once to show me a little green caterpillar that he'd found on his salad. I say, 'Well, now you know it's safe to eat. That's the canary in the coal mine, right there.'

In R15's case, I think it's more like, 'The fingerprints mean you know your old lady's hot.'

I read that wrong the first time through... and had to go back and read it more carefully, all the time thinking to myself: "Why exactly would Keyan want to stomp feces? What good would that do?"

S'all true, I tells 'ya.

Maybe it has something to do with this "Revenge of the Sh*t" I've been hearing so much about lately...

gotta pay rent today....i don't really feel like going outside and downstairs....

my dad came over last night to check the heat registers/radiators, and help me fix my bathroom sink and take care of an overflowing litter box. the sink got fixed, the litter box is clean and the cats are happy. the landlords just aren't turning the heat up enough to get it running through our radiators. I'm getting sick of it cause every time it's cold up here i have to call down there and tell them to turn the ****in heat up...i guess i'm letting them get away with it cause i can tolerate it being a little cold as long as it's not below 50 degrees. i should buy a thermometer.

my tracker is in the shop i think...i dropped it off over at the dealer, put the keys in the keybox since nobody was around. i wasn't about to drive it home and back after discovering they closed at 6 and run the miles beyond warranty. -_- hopefully they fix the problem....they better..

Cool Guy The young and the weird

Got a call yesterday from not-my-girlfriend (a young lady I was once romantically interested in, but who chose another dude who eventually turned out to be a good friend, and she more like a dharmic sister) who moved up by Salem last summer.

Her boyfriend is a special individual with a lot of good points (my estimation there) despite being mildly schizophrenic. While he was living down here before, he was on meds and doing just fine--he seemed like a normal person who was just farther *out there* than the rest of us. However, after returning back to his hometown with her and her kids in tow, he discontinued the medication because it was causing health issues with his heart. Needless to say, he went loopy...and she had him put in the local psych ward.

He dumped her. Although he's resumed taking psych meds (I don't know what kind, but I assume it doesn't affect his heart,) he still doesn't want to be with her. From the sound of things, she was being mean to him--not unlikely, knowing her--at a time when he was fragile and tenuous in the mental sense, then 'tossed him in the loony bin.'

I told her to wait until he's back in his right mind, then see how he feels. He might see then that despite her faults, she does have a big heart in the first place...

If not, I'm totally gonna bird-dog that chick. Hoo-yeah!

My dental issues are getting better. I do have the TMJ after all, but it's getting better. Now my jaw is just sore as opposed to the plugged up ears and dizziness. Apparently, my facial musculature is simply readjusting to its new shape.

I'm off today. I feel like drinking.

I'm working a Richard Thompson acoustic show today. Pretty easy and straight ahead.

I'm just wiped out, thanks to coming back to our first real full week back being non-stop and chaotic and high-stress.

Oh... and no sleep. That tends to not help a lot.

Good luck with runnin' down that fem, Zoom.

Been attempting to make some inroads in that direction myself lately... but meeting with much resistance.

Oh well...

the mechanic that was looking at my tracker never called me back after his first call after he took it for a spin. i called and he was already gone. gonna see what's up tomorrow. i hope i don't owe anything, as he said something about the warranty covering the big stuff like if the tran was to go and stuff like that....i'm going to be ****ing pissed if i have to put any $$ (which i do not have right now) into it.

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

I, on the other hand, have been meeting with no resistance whatsoever.

But perhaps I shall say no more about that for now...

Cool Guy Pit viper

The humanoid female I'm contemplating reminds me of 'Starbuck' from the new Battlestar Galactica. She has a temperament to match, unfortunately, but at least she'd be a good back-up in a bar fight...

A fighter pilot's dream, I tell ya.

A spirited warrior woman is nothing to sneeze at.

An automatic weapon firing from one hand, and carrying a baby on her other hip.

What else is there?

But in reality: I personally tend to go for more 'girlie' types... they just don't ever seem to go for me. Either type. Any type.

Hmmm...

I try to find the elusive "Nerdis Femalius", the nerd girl. A hard prey to track, more often then not taken by another. Very tricky to find, and very hard to lure in.

Super Bowl sunday. whoot!

Show went well... other than a stupid screw-up with the catering (which, fortunately, I have nothing to do with...)

I actually watched a little of it (they had thier own engineer mixing, by the way...)

It was pretty good... though I thought loud for an acoustic show. Wasn't super thrilled with the mix... which is probably why I never see live concerts anymore: I can't deal with watching (or in this case, more accurately: listening to...) somebody else do the job I do. I usually find it a horribly painful experience.

But it's late. I'm tired. Long week.

Bed.

Plan for today:

- Haircut (that I never got last weekend.)
- Car inspected (ditto)
- Wait for phone guy to change my land-line service.
- Relax from stupid work week.

There's a bunch of other stuff in there that I know I really should be doing... but I'm still wiped out. I know I won't get far if I try to push it.

Tomorrow will be a productivity write-off: spent over my friend's house. Game day. Going over early to play some XBox and Wii... then we'll watch the Superbowl.
