HOW CAN CREATE CUSTOM NPC IN A MOD?????

Hi, i am an italian boy then works for a mod for jedi academy.
the mod is fantasy. is an amatorial sequel of Legacy Of kain Defiance Game.
I have a problem. with Radiant i can use only npc of JA!!!
I have tried to edit the spentities file of ja folder of radiant 1.5 for use npc of my mod, instead of the originals. "
But, when i play the level, the npc do not appear and that show me"
"Npc_Agatha is not a spawn function."

there is a way for use custom npcs in a mod????
i am disperated!
I know this self can do!!!
in many mods i have seen that they use custom npc and models in level!!! How can i do it?????

I use the npc maker tool at jk2files.com to make my npcs. After I make them I can then go back and tweak things in the npc file later. So I would suggest use the tool first and see if that helps.
